Order the Pile 'O' Ribs, Loaded Potato Skins and the Brioche bread donuts!I'd just arrived in Christchurch airport that evening, and was starving to get some delicious hot food! We searched up some places nearby that were still open with some great ratings and came across this gem!Highly recommend getting the ribs to share! Juicy, succulent, tender and just wanting to go back for more! It's all that I can think about now that I'm back in Australia!

Wow what a great location! This is just what Woolston needed - a great option for dinner and drinks and have some laughs with excellent and friendly staff. Nothing is a problem and the staff that serve you love being in hospitality. They are freaking awesome. Get in before it gets too busy!

From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a great night at Smoke n Barrel.Our group of six shared the‘Want it all meat board’ which came with side dishes. Meat was so tender it melted in your mouth, only a fork was required.Even though we were full we couldn’t resist the dessert menu and wasn’t disappointed.Noticed they have specials during week.Sunday Roast Beast -Wednesday night Quiz night and Thursday Movie night.Go check them them out you won’t be disappointed .

First time here with a bunch of discerning friends....wow, what an amazing restaurant.Every single one of us loved it so much.Can't pick our favourite dishes as they were all 10/10.It was great to be able to have a chat with the owner about the history of this great place.His energy and friendliness shows such a passion for his food.We will all be spreading the word and will be back.Congrats team.

Amazing service and exceptional food! Having Smoke 'n' Barrel cater our small wedding was a real high point. They made everything super easy, made sure there was something for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions and the food was so good!

The team catered at our wedding. They provided such a seamless and friendly service and the food was incredible! It had our guests including the children going for second and thirds. The amount of food was very generous too and we got to enjoy the leftovers the day after. We couldn’t recommend Cory and Renee more!! Without a doubt we’d use their services again and we can’t wait to visit their restaurant ❤️

Smoke and barrel is the best restaurant in Christchurch! The food is absolutely delicious and made with so much care. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the comfy homily atmosphere of the restaurant is like nothing else! So well priced too! Always have the best time here Thankyou smoke and barrel!

Fantastic night at Smoke ‘n’ Barrel. So much flavour. We shared the meat plate, potato skins, double fried potatoes, veges and slaw. Loved it all - we will be back. Staff were friendly and attentive and even got to meet the owners. ❤️

We had a amazing meat platter to share it came fully loaded with veg, slaw and cornbread. Food and service was top notch and super relaxed vibe, will definitely be back for another great night

Smoke 'n' Barrel
Went there for the Sunday roast with the family which included my 18month old daughter. They were really accommodating and the bar and wait staff were really friendly and good with my daughter. They had board games for the kids and high chairs. The roast was really good and a good range of beers. Highly recommend
