Great service, food was good, prices were reasonable, great selection of drinks. We had pizza, and we asked for a special order and it was not a problem. Great all round experience, would definitely recommend!

Easily the worst food experience we’ve had in some time, possibly ever. We ordered cheesy fried cauliflower & broccoli bites but they were soggy, limp & tasteless. Disgusting. Cheesy Jalapeño bites were just cheese, not a sign of jalapeño & again, soggy & just gross. How you stuff that up is beyond me but the worst was still to come. We were a table of four adults & two kids. We ordered pizzas. Prawn, Moroccan Lamb, Smoked chicken & Cranberry & the Salmon Pizza. The bases were like microwaved cardboard & the toppings….the prawns were shrimp, and clearly frozen. The lamb was barely a few meagre slices on top of a weird yellow sauce, that barely covered the base & was from somewhere that definitely wasn’t Morroco. The worst though was the chicken. It was minced beyond any semblance of chicken & didn’t have any taste whatsoever, certainly not smoked! The cranberry was a thin, watery mess. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the WORST pizza I have ever had. Between the lot of us we ate about 6 pieces, total, from the 4 pizzas, to make sure each of us wasn’t just making this up. I spoke to the lovely lady behind the counter & said I wasn’t happy paying for the prawn & chicken pizzas. These pizzas cost $30. For $30 it was an absolute joke. McCains or whatever random freezer microwaved rubbish you choose for $6 is by FAR much much better than what was served up. Seriously. $30. The chef/owner/senior staff member came over for a chat & I very politely aired my grievances regarding the pizza ( I didn’t even mention the other food) & was pretty much told ‘well that’s the way it is’. Another member of the staff walked over to point at the chicken pizza & say ‘we’ve made heaps of these & no one has complained yet’. We paid our bill & left behind an almost full table of food. Beyond terrible. I will add that it wasn’t busy at all, the place had hardly anyone in it & there seemed to be enough staff to cope. Not giving a damn & just cashing in on Oxford being a tourist drive-through? Seemed that way to us & two of us live 5 mins down the road.

We needed a lunch break, stopped off for a coffee and a ham/ cheese croissant the lady said it would be 10mins, when it arrived was one of the freshest and tasty croissants I had in years, when we was leaving the lady noticed we was cleaner our motorcycle helmet visors and came out with a visor cleaner. Top marks for a top lady.

Extremely good quality food! 11 out of 10. My taste buds were having a party! Very friendly owners, quick service, highly recommended. We probably will just come camping nearby again to come here to eat. Thanks for the lovely food team!

Wonderful evening at this gorgeous local bar in Oxford. Amazing to find such a little gem in such rural setting. Great array of local and international spirits, wine and beers! Delicious pizzas! And to top it off the service was warm and friendly and so accommodating with Miri offering colouring books for our two young daughters. All four of us came away feeling warm and fuzzy after a lovely evening at the Black Beech Bar!

Really lovely welcome by lady (owner ?) We had dessert and drinks/cocktails for afternoon tea. 5 of our group of six ordered waffles, turned out there was only 4 portions left which was not a problem as one of our group ordered a dessert pizza instead (they waived the extra difference in price). The pizza was really nice the waffles were huge and delicious. Glad our initial cafe destination across the road turned us away (due to closing earlier than advertised) as we all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.

Delightful country wine bar. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered the curry fries and jalapeño and sour cream pizza: huge portions and tasted wonderful. So fresh and was the right proportions of everything. We couldn’t finish everything, so the staff were more than happy to box it up for us to take home.We were a little worried about the price, but it’s definitely worth it since we’ll be having the rest for lunch tomorrow! A lovely little treat after a day in the Oxford mountains. I can also highly recommend the feijoa cider. I’ll definitely be back again

Last night of my vacation in New Zealand. Went in to get a pizza for take-out. I wish I hadn't been in a hurry as the place was wonderful inside. Very clean, well-designed and decorated and seemed to be a great place to relax and socialize a bit if so inclined. The pizza was very good. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Went for a ride on our bikes today and called in for a bite to eat. As usual great food and great service. We will see you more as the weather warms up.

Great place for a drink or for some pizza, etc. Went yesterday, had a good 5ime there with my family. Nice and warm with the fire going, Low gluten food is available, as they display on their menus that they can't guarantee Gluten free food options 100% all of the time as due to possible close proximity with gluten includes food ingredients, etc.Staff wee great, good coffee too. Outdoor seating also available.
