I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough, she was such an amazing support to myself and my partner during our first time home birth. What turned out to be a very long labour was eased over by Sarah's calm nature and gentle suggestions for keeping things moving. Having someone who has experienced birth before, who knows how things can go was such an asset. Thank you so much Sarah!!!

When I finally became pregnant after 9 fertility tries, I started my journey as a single solo mama to be ~ and I knew I needed all the support I could get. I was familiar with other peoples kids but I had never been pregnant before and everything was a new and scary experience for me. I found Sarah online and reached out to her. I’m so immensely grateful for the devine direction that lead me to her because she was just PERFECT for me! As a pregnant woman, I was hormonal and sensitive and fearful and Sarah just held me through the whole process. I felt listened to, respected, loved, nurtured, mothered and supported from beginning to end of our time together. I didn’t know I needed it, but Sarah also made me laugh a lot which was a beautiful balance to my overwhelm at times. She is so knowledgeable and clever at holding space for women to feel safe. Her generousity, kindness, empathy and humour is the perfect combination for her role as a doula. She hugged me when I needed it most, and she made me healthy food and reminded me about the importance of nutrition and self care. On the day of my labour, I had already formed a lovely relationship with Sarah and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to walk alongside me ~ bringing my son into the world. She created a stunning space and atmosphere for me at home while I was labouring and she literally held my hand through it all. I love this woman for all that we shared, and I would 110% use her again for my next pregnancy ❤️

I recommend everyone to have a Doula at their birth, especially if it's their first time and/or they are wanting to have a physiological birth. The confidence that Sarah gave both me and my husband in the lead up to, and during my labour was invaluable to us.I spent half my pregnancy in the UK so on returning to NZ it was important for me to have continuity of care and someone I could discuss my fears with, but more importantly, get me excited about birth (which I wasn't getting from my OB). Sarah provided this and so much more!A few people were confused as to the role my husband and the midwife would play if Sarah was there alongside the Obstetrician. But in my mind we had spent months creating the A team. Sarah and Mike coached me through from a mental standpoint and the Obstetrician and Midwife monitored my physical state. Everyone had a role and they all worked together to help me give the greatest performance of my life!During labour, Sarah arrived at our house early in the morning after i'd been having contractions for a few hours. As it was an experience neither Mike nor I had had before, her presence calmed us and I laboured at home comfortably until she suggested it was time we head to the hospital. Because of Sarah's experience watching and working with labouring women, we trusted her in telling us when to leave the house – a decision that would have otherwise stressed us out as I didn't want the change of scene to slow my labour. In the end, it was perfect timing and I gave birth a few hours later.I could honestly go on for hours about the ways in which Sarah helped me build confidence in my body and enjoy the process of birth but i'm sure if you're reading this, and pregnant, your to-do list is long, so give her a call!Thank you Sarah :)
