A really nice hockey stadium. Three different turfs as well as a small practice turf. Really good food/drink up in the pavillion, including fries, mini donuts, sandwiches, a good selection of more filling meals, lollies, and a variety of drinks. Nice for an after game snack or something to eat while watching. Good quality turfs nhs 3 being fairly new and nhs 1 being recently replaced. Good seating on nhs 1 grandstand. Could be more accessible in different areas, but it is a hockey turf. Dogs aren't allowed.

NHS is one of the best sports grounds I have played at in Wellington. 3 high class water turfs (there isn't a lot of these in Wellington), all of which are regularly maintained. I am here every Friday night for hockey, and the vibes are truly unmatched. The pavilion is full of parents having some hot chips, a drink and a yarn as they watch through the windows at their kids playing on the turfs either side. The number 1 field is my favourite turf I have ever played at, with big concrete bleachers on one side that make for an incredible atmosphere when the crowd is in - especially when it gets to finals time. 10/10, absolutely love it!
