Lake Playground
Old park with new layout! Awesome playground for kids of all ages, the proximity of the lake brings fresh wind. Parking is a challenge on the weekends and sunny days. There is a cafe place selling ice creams and a full range of options to eat and drink. There are more table and seats now for picnics. I think this is the most complete playground in Hamilton, hard to beat!

Newly renovated and upgraded. The kids loved the new additions like the trampolines, and they didn't miss the outgoings. Great job HCC and contractors

Amazing modern playground. Would imagine kids of all ages really enjoying it. Great to see the water works for a bit of experiential learning. There was equipment suitable for people with low mobility even a wheelchair swing. All of the equipment is well thought out with the swing on the lowest level having a good view of the lake.

Why is there no playground like this in Auckland? Perfect facilities and beautiful scenery. It's worth spending a day here as a family.

Awesome park next to the lake in Hamilton. It was recommended to me by a friend and it sure didn't disappoint. We stopped by on the way back to Auckland and the kids didn't want to leave. It had so much variety to keep the kids entertained for a long time, especially the water play features. Has a cafe and toilets nearby. Parking could be an issue on busy days.

Lake playground is basically a small amusement park for kids. It covers such a large area and has so much to offer in way of equipment and entertainment you can spend a day here and not manage to play everything. There is a cafe on site, fully fenced toddlers area, massive play areas sprawling down the hill towards to the lakeside and an awesome walk around the lake for adults without kids. It is an awesome time out, has a bit of everything, and most definitely travelling here for if you’re in a near by city like Auckland.

Parts of the playground are new.Shaded areas and a large section of grass for picnics or throwing a ball around. There's also a cafe onsite.

Great spot for kids. A bit hard to get a park close by in the shade during the Christmas break, but there is ample parking. The park at the other side by the boat sheds also has a full workout area and basketball hoop. Don't fall into the lake though, I heard it had been contaminated with arsenic since the 1950s.
