Muriwai Beach Horse Treks Auckland

Had a fantastic experience with my whanau. We had the one hour walk, with my wife and two kids. My littlest was very scared initially but warmed up to it with the assistance of Lucy, leading the trek. Tancy helped at the other end, keeping us going. Both guides are excellent.I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to give a horse ride a go.

Fantastic ride at Muriwai horse treks. We did the Intermediate 2hr with Carrie. She was really fun and relaxed and gave us plenty of chances to trot and canter. We rode through farmland, native bush, forest and on the beach. Muriwai at it's finest. The horses were amazing. Nice and calm but also forward. Great experience all round. Thanks :)

Amazing walking trek today. Such lovely guides and horses that are happy and have beautiful temperaments. My first time back in the saddle in 18 years and ‘Darkie’ just made it a breeze. Beautiful scenery and location, what an experience. Will certainly be back!

We went out with these guys for my daughter's birthday and it was absolutely amazing! They were helpful with booking and the reason I went with them was how much they felt it would be a magical experience and their passion to share that with others, was exactly what I wanted. Their guides were all so helpful and so calming and reassuring for those that were nervous. They even took photos with my phone so we could keep the memories of our experience. Such a great set up, all ran so smoothly and great communication along the way. Wonderful with the kids!!We all absolutely loved it and didn't want it to Finnish. Horse's were lovely and super gentle. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Would totally recommend these guys to anyone especially if your taking children.ThanksKaren

Absolutely amazing. The horses are SUPER friendly, and you may feel a bit scared at the beginning of the ride, as I did, but as you start getting the hang of it, you'll be enjoying yourself in no time. The staff were so friendly and kind. This horse trek is highly recommended and I'm sure you'll have the time of your lives. Horomatangi, the horse that I rode, was an absolute angel. He wandered off trying to eat grass which made me a bit scared but was hilarious at the same time. After that, he kindly led the herd of horses and was super calm. My mom rode Opōtaka and my mom said that he was SO nice and listened to everything my mom told him to do. I definitely recommened this place to beginners and experienced people.

The best experience! We did the one hour trek today with our young kids and it was a perfect outing for all ages. Stunning scenery and lovely gentle horses. But the best thing about it is the fantastic staff - they were all so friendly, helpful, experienced and enthusiastic. They didn’t take a moment’s rest - they were constantly checking everyone was happy and having fun, running around taking pics and videos with all our phones, and ensuring everyone was safe with constant instruction and guidance. Highly recommend - worth every penny!

We had a team building day at Muriwai this month, the horse trek was incredible. We got the whole beach to ourselves - so nice!! The experience was perfect from start to finish, excellent communication, amazing location, wonderful people, well cared for and happy horses, mixed terrain ride to keep things interesting. We would love to come back again. Highly recommend!

Last Saturday we had a most fantastic ride. Weather turned out great, and we really appreciated the attention to detail, and care provided by the team. I would highly recommend this for people wanting to experience horse riding, as well as beautiful Muriwai beach and Wood Hill forest.Also really appreciated the horses, clearly well looked after and cared for.Thank you very much for making this a great experience.Marcel
