Last minute booking after trip to Golden Bay cancelled with the rains. Felt very lucky to find somewhere so lovely. We stayed in the cottage; so very private and cosy. Good heating, good shower. Beautiful views. Well equipped kitchen. Very very comfy bed. Hot tub was wonderful. Everything you could need, basically. Lots of breakfast goodies. Get pizza from Black Rabbit, it's phenomenal! Highly recommend staying at this lovely place.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend break. The owner was so lovley she had all the local knowledge we needed, as I wanted to relax, wine taste and star gaze, while my husband wanted to drive for crayfish then catch up in the spa. Nothing was a problem and super clean. Thank you

We have just stayed 3 nights in the two bedroom cottage, it is comfortable, the views of the mountains are stunning. The retreat is out in the country just outside Kaikoura. The grounds are beautiful and it is very peaceful here. Our host Jen was very helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

We love this place. Jen gets all the details right. A fresh rose in the room, beautifully clean, homemade bread at breakfast and a spa under the stars on a clear night. We look forward to our next return trip.

Beautiful location, spacious grounds, very calm vibe. They provide everything you need to self cater along with games to play indoors and activities outdoors. Two different hot tubs available to help you relax.Only things missing are air-conditioning and any private indoor sitting space in addition to a large communal lounge.Great place for a large group who want to socialise together.

This place is very beautiful, stunning views of the mountains from every room, 2 x hot tubs, playground for the kids & large dinning area. Owners were super accommodating and loved their wee dogs, very cute!! Would definitely recommend and be back!!

Is is a retreat in as much that it is on farmland .Our stay was unfortunate as we were expecting a top quality luxury retreat. We we’re allowed to check in early which was something .It is in fact a B & B in someone’s home . A little work needed on toilet seats, the hot tubs jets not all working , window catches broken and door handle repairs a bit raw! . The establishedgarden is probably the only part that stands out . The owner is busy with how many internet reviews she has and she maybe should spend more time thinking how to upgrade the quality of the breakfast and actually listen to clients.Yes the pup looks cute but we had paid extra for a comfortable luxury stay and found ourselves with a very small bathroom and bedroom with a small fridge .It was possible to make food in the communal kitchen were you so inclined .In contrast it was to thoughtful of the owners husband, who appeared from nowhere to offer us the chance to get tomatoes from the greenhouse had we wanted them .It is presented by the owner online as how she thought it should be . We have stayed in many places in the South Island at half the price with better facilities

Jen is the best hostess, very welcoming and friendly. Room's well equipped, immaculate and very comfortable. Thoughtfull attention to detail, even flower's on bedside table. Hot tub so relaxing & great to star gaze. Breakfast yummy, home made jams and bread. Other guest's also friendly. Lovely garden. Highly recommend, definitely stay there again.
