Best F&C in Wellington and right in the heart of the city. The fish is incredibly fresh, the chips are cooked to perfection and the price is reasonable. It gets pretty busy at lunchtime so either arrive before 12pm or phone your order in advance.

Got the crumbed fish, with chips and salad and a couple of crumbed shrimps.The fish was “fish of the day” and quite tasty, though lacking in salt. The shrimp were perfectly cooked with a bit of a snap when you bite into them. However, they did not have much flavor but seemed fresh!The chips were fine and the salad was ok. Overall, everything was missing salt but you can get salt packets at the counter.They have some dips available. I’d say it’s a good price for what you get. There was some seating in front, but keep in mind it gets very busy around lunch time!

The manager has aggressive attitude towards customers and very arrogant puts me off going back when you ask what the fish of the day is he points to the board I would say he bullying his staff customer service skills are needed and people skills are none

What a ripoff. We ordered a crumbed tarakihi fillet, a pineapple fritter, 6 scallops and a paua fritter and scoop of chips. We got two small pieces of some rubbish battered fish, 8 scallops and half a scoop of chips and were charged $46. Bummer

Beautiful fish n chips with creamy hake. Chips are not bad either, but not as amazing as the fish. Portion is just right! The side serving of salad takes the guilt away.

Very good fish and chips with pleasant staff. If you like to know what you're eating, this is the place. The fish is fresh and unlike many others, they batter it just before cooking. Choose your fish, have it battered or crumbled then cooked to perfection.
