I was referred to Dr. Hill by ACO (Auckland City Orthodontists - Dr. Ross), and I could not be happier with how my surgery was done. I needed a jaw surgery, and Dr. Hill worked with their team in Australia to revise a plan to ensure the best possible outcome. From initial thoughts we had on doing DJS, we decided to do only a UJS, with less risk in terms of the jaw movements, and better predictability of the results.I went for the surgery on 30th Sept, and despite my fears that the aftermath of the surgery would be hell, I only had an uncomfortable first day. By the fifth day I was off my pain killers. And the second week I was back to work. My upper jaw was moved forward by 7.5mm as the result. I had a little bit of discharge from my sinuses for the first few days, but nothing extraordinary.The technique they’ve used allows Dr. Ross to massage the jaw into the right position, which has been really effective. I also had never heard of this, or known this was even possible!I am now a month into the recovery process. Very small elastics in place to keep the jaws in the right position. I can talk clearly (right after the first week I was able to). My life has been pretty normal since the second week. A lot of things have improved for me, first and foremost my bite which I’d forgotten about. Secondly, I had a deviated septum that Dr. Hill corrected, so my breathing has improved a lot. I do not snore anymore.If I ever have anyone under similar circumstances as mine, I would not hesitate to recommend the golden hands of Dr. Hill. I do not have a shred of regret putting my faith in their professionalism and brilliance.I will forever be in your dept as you finished a life long project and gave my bite back to me.Thank you.- Rikki

Dr. Peter Hill and his team provided expertise, efficiency and care to me for a non-standard wisdom teeth extraction and I am so appreciative.So glad I sought a second opinion from these guys after initially being told I would have to go under general anesthesia and the likelihood of my jaw breaking was supposed to be high.Sedation was a much better option and everything went smoother than silk, so thank you so much!

I had a front tooth implant and most impressed with the facilities, professionalism and treatment. Excellent information at preliminary assessment and the actual extraction and implant. I had a fantastic experience getting my wisdom teeth out at Westlake Dental Specialists. Dr Cameron and staff were extremely kind and comforting from the initial consultation until I walked out after my surgery. The medical team on the day of surgery were great at distracting me from the anaesthesia needles, and encouraged me when I felt nervous. The post-surgery instructions (what to eat, when to take which medication, etc) were very clear and made the whole experience such a breeze for such a daunting operation.
