Hard to beat of a fine day. Lots of different dog breeds of all sizes and ages, friendly owners too. Not much shade in the upper part of the park so can get really hot. Outside of Summer it can get quite muddy.

The place is an awesome place to let your pooch run free. Lots of space that is fully fenced, and a lot of space to take a nice walk before or after on leash. Be prepared after the rain for a muddy sleepy puppy.

Maltese Shitzu named Snaga gets so excited when he sees the park from the car window. He loves this park so much, he can't wait to get of car... all the sound of barking and crying... and teary eyes. Once he's on the ground every rock he has to do several markings... and probably at the rocks for 10 min before walking around. Snaga freely loves running in high grass as he wants to play hide and seek. Although the view is magnificent, seeing the seas and boats.

Great place for puppy play dates, with a fenced section for dogs that don't have great recall. Watch out for a couple of young Karaka trees on the opposite side of the park to the fenced section.

Great place if you want to let you dog off the leash in a save (fenced) environment. The fenced area is really big - it’s not gonna get cramped in there. Rest of the park is big, well maintained and offers beautiful views and relaxing benches.

Locals call this place Meola reef. It is a great place to run your dog - but there are often lots of other dogs there which can be a problem for some. So for me, I'd give it two stars as a dog park. In winter parts of the dog run area are a bit muddy. In adddition to the dog park, this is a great place to do a walk with sweeping view of the harbour bridge. The park is built on a reef which used an enormous rubbish dump. It's interesting to see how the land has recovered. The reef is a volcanic lava flow and is over 28,000 years old. It extends for over two km across the harbour, to within 500 metres ofthe north shore.

Great place to let your dog run. Open fields, a swimming spot and if you go at the right time on a weekend there are lots of puppers for your furbaby to play with. Best time seems to be around 8.30-11am on a Sat.

Great place to enjoy a picnic, a beer, look at the sunrise and hang around. Especially good for dog owners and also for those that wished they had one.Worth a late afternoon walk
