Lou's Lookout
Great little walk to the lookout with the track passing through nice bush and impressive caves and rock formations. View is excellent from the top. Allow about 30-40 minutes return.

Really recommend this short walk up to Lous Lookout. It's a bit of a puff uphill, but it's really quick and before you know it you are presented with the most amazing views over Lake Waikaremoana and Te Urewera. Can get super windy at the top, which kind of adds to the drama.Small gravel park beside the road opposite the track entrance. Only a 10min drive or so from the Lake Waikaremoana Campground.

30mins climb to the lookout. Good experience. Do avoid going up when Sun is setting down. Unless you Wanner bring bright torchlight along.

What an amazing view of the lake, the Bluffs and surrounding bush. Fairly short walk but steep in parts and there are a few stairs. Some amazing rock formations and caves on the way up. Well worth the walk.

A quite nice lookout to the Panekire Bluffs, strongly recommend to anyone traveling around the lake, the climb is not that hard, could be very windy up there though.

Quite a climb up here but well worth it. Even the trek up is interesting with the path winding past numerous small caves and even passing through a 20m rock tunnel at one point. View from the top is magnificent.

Lou's Lookout
One of the best walks and lookouts in the area.A lot of the tracks and walks in the area have been closed by the local management. This is a great shame to the legacies of people who wanted the park and walks to be visited and enjoyed by everyone.Track is not maintained, but still fairly clear. Lots of rock formations and caves to explore.Rip Lou, you legend.
