Lots of nice spots to pick from. We parked next to the river and had a nice dip in it. Really good shower and nice atmosphere.

Such a magic place next to the mountains! Friendly owners and locals, comfy place. Facilities were clean and tidy, nice hot showers and WiFi included. Only one downside, $2 for washing machine (one load) and $2 for dryer. We used the dryer twice and the clothes were still wet (not humid). For the same price we've been in places with free laundry, but apart from that, nice place!

Great campsite, lots of space with a beautiful backdrop. Very friendly owner and lovely guests staying at the campsite. Clean kitchen with everything you need. Great value for money. Would love to of stayed here longer if we had the time. Highly recommend.

My friend and I travelled from Nelson to Blenheim and found this gem on our first night. We had pick of where we wanted to park up and pitch our tent. We perched next to a gorgeous walnut tree with a picnic table. We skipped rocks at the stream and spent the nights playing darts in the camp Saloon. A lot of characters, but friendly and homely, and looked out for us. Stewart was looking after the office - he was friendly and down to earth and left us to enjoy our stay. Lyall was a nice man who lived at the camp and helped us find our way about the camp amenities with a smile. We went to another camp site but returned to Waves at 10pm after an odd feeling... and Stewart saved the day and was happy for us to rock up and make ourselves at home. We stayed another 2 nights. Honestly it was quirky and small town, down to earth vibes- with some characters but we absolutely loved it and it felt like home away from home. Thanks everyone, we had a blast.P.s. wifi available hot shower good water pressure, clean toilets, good kitchen, washing machine and dryer available $4 cycles, and a cool indoor hang out spot.

Nice views from park. Facilities where unkept and dirty. Friendly staff. $45 for powered site on grass. Traffic noise from highway 24/7

With the intention of finding a DOC site after driving up from chch, only to discover most DOC sites were either closed (due to flood damage) or absolutely packed, we ended up coming to this place.... I regret not going there to begin with!! Fantastic place and not overcrowded like most other campsites. Dog friendly, kid friendly, beautiful spot next to river, great facilities and friendly owner. On new years eve, the owner put on a bonfire and fireworks too, couldn't have asked for a better place!

The campsite seemed quite run down. The facilities, ie showers, were always occupied & not particularly clean. Buildings looked tired & there were a lot of old vehicles scattered about, which made it look a bit like a scrapyard.

This place is amazing! We arrived at 7pm with a 3 hour notice. Got greeted by Sheila who had the most extatic, lovely energy and showed us around their beautiful campground. There's heaps of activities, very nice amenities and an awesome atmosphere. Most hospitable I've visited in a long time wi'mll definitely be back!!
