Capri On Pilot Bay Apartments

Great position to access the Mount and shops. If you require easy access to your room you will have to go in a lift if you are not on the ground floor. That was a surprise.Lovely clean rooms. We had the 2 bedroom unit.

One of my favourites places to stay as I love Mount Maunganui so much and it's right on the water front and the rooms are really nice!

The room is okay. The service is terrible. I have been humiliated and teased by the reception staff when asked for help. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here, unless you can make sure you will have no interaction with the motel staff. Tauranga is a beautiful place. This motel experience ruined the memory for the beautiful Tauranga holiday. Very sad and disappointing.

My husband and I stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and found it fantastic! Was able to have some work meetings and the set up was perfect. Andrew and Sharon were fantastic hosts. We will definitely be back but next time for longer.

Stayed two nights here in a one bed apartment which seriously needs an upgrade! Very shabby and bathroom substandard, not what we expected. If you want a quiet luxury weekend away don’t stay here! Noisy kids and rubbish trucks.

Stayed for 5 nights. Very comfortable, quiet and safe/secure. Perfect location for enjoying everything the area has to offer. The apartment was spacious and clean with just about everything you could want for a short stay. Very well-equipped kitchen, although we really only used the fridge, microwave and coffee plunger! Really useful to have washing machine and dryer on hand. Didn’t use the pool or gym, but both looked good. Only complaint was that the first few nights were unseasonably warm and there was no aircon. However, there was a fan in the living room and all rooms had opening windows, so we managed ok. Would definitely stay here again if I return to the area.

We stayed there for the night. Security wise very good. Rooms clean. Let me down was we went for breakfast in the morning and Came back at 9.30am to checkout, but found they already started cleaning our rooms. They said we thought you already checked out. Checkout time was 10am. They should start cleaning after 10am or once the guests have checked out.

Five star atmosphere at four star prices. We stayed early April (not school holidays). We were able to book and pay online at 10 am, then check in at 1pm.I stayed two nights with my mum, who has mobility issues, and we were both so happy with Capri. Our hosts were lovely and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless... a little dated in the decor but not worn or tired feeling. I dropped some jewellery in the shower and had to open the shower trap... sparkling! Probably cleaner than my own home. And the decor meant the price was significantly cheaper than neighbouring hotels and apartments.Location is perfect... even Mum could walk to the hot pools, to Pilot Bay and to shops. Restaurants were in easy walking distance for most, but we drove the kilometre or so.We're home now and each planning further visits with our respective partners. Our room had no harbour view but others would have, and we were mostly out so not important to us. I travel a lot for work, and would have been stoked to stay here.
