Fantastic hospitality. Best Columbo vegetarian I've ever had. I wandered home quite drunk and was lured by the smell of breakaway republic spice. Too drunk to notice, I stumbled into the staff cricket pitch, on which they were playing and enjoying a delicious Sri Lanka meal. They insisted I join them for cricket as I was still in my whites from from that day. I bowled a few wides into the restaurants conservatory bar, but the staff cheered me on for more. After a good priming of a local bathtub brewed delicacy, they sent me on way. I'll be back!

Today, I was in our consulate in Melbourne, they are very attentive and courteous. It completely different to the horrible approach in dealing with Si Lankans in our consulate in Wellington.. It is high time for the foreign ministry to appoint an approachable consul in Wellington..
