Had to change a lock to the garage which was stuck and would not open. Steve said he would come in 90 min time and turned up 10 min early. Changed the lock with no fuss. Prompt, courteous service. Very reasonable charges too!

Pleased that our job was done at short notice but I think we got Steve on a bad day as not very customer friendly. He needs a belt on his jeans as when he bent over is was not a nice sight.

My car door lock cylinder was worn out so I needed some professional intervention. Steve knows a thing or two about locks. He replaced the lock for me on a Sunday morning at short notice. I reckon the negative reviews are mostly people that just don't get Steve's dry sense of humour. Thanks for fixing up my polluting Accord lock :)

Steve was great to deal with, and I'd recommend him to anyone needing a locksmith. He got to our lifestyle property within ten minutes of phoning him on a Sunday, and managed to get our locked door open within a few minutes. Unfortunately the keys we thought we'd locked in there weren't in there after all, and so he came back a couple of hours later, again within ten minutes of calling him, to cut a new key for us. He gave us a discount on the second call out because he was already in the area which we really appreciated.Also I really disagree with some of the low star reviews to do with fees. I actually feel really sorry for locksmiths and how they are treated by some people!!!!!! The fee for after hours is completely reasonable, especially when he gets there so fast. At least half this fee will be going to tax, GST and operational costs, it is not a lot of cash in the hand for taking up to an hour out of his time in travel on top of that - especially in weekends or middle of the night!!! One idiot has bagged him for not giving free advice over the phone, when it turned out a simple fix. Seriously!?!?! You're paying for a service, and for someone to use their expertise to solve a problem. If you want free advice ask Google. I personally think its disgusting that people would not only expect free advice from a professional, but then give one star reviews. I am so glad I got Steve yesterday, and so glad I ignored these pathetic reviews.

It took me almost 4 hours to find a locksmith that would be able to come and unlock my car. I called Hamilton Locksmith and Steve said he'd be there in half an hour, 25 minutes later Steve was here. It was as if it was still early in the evening as he was very lovely and made friendly banter, 2 minutes later the job was done.Definitely recommend Hamilton Locksmith if anything happens! Thank you so much Steve ☺️

Avoid at all costs! I strongly recommend you do not use this man's company Hamilton Locksmiths" or "Eastern Hammer Hardware" and call around to other locksmiths to find one who is honest and ethical

Rescued me at 9pm on a weeknight when I locked my keys in my car. Then later in the week they let me into the store after their official closing time. Great service!They also cut plastic emergency keys for $20, which are great as a cheap spare. Or, they do keys with chips much cheaper than a dealership charges!!

No issues at all. He was prompt and turned up on time.No idea why so many negative reviews here but my experience was good enough.

Phoned Steve up in the morning and he visited us later that day! Incredible service, fast, efficient and well priced. Glad I called, thanks for sorting our locks out!
