Well. Despite there being a sign with the hours 9.30-5 and the contradictory hours online of 9.00-3.00 it was not open at either of those times. We arrived, waited, and called the numbers available. It was quite frustrating because I was with my two toddlers who were desperately eager to see everything.I've given it 3 stars because we've been before and it was great. Obviously our second visit was Fairlie disappointing.

Nice museum and great coffee. It will be a good pit stop when you drive to Queenstown.

Fabulous atmosphere and delicious food. But gutted that it is closing soon due to earthquake issues. Such a shame.

Brilliant local museum. Motorcars, agricultural equipment, household artifacts and pioneers cottage to look around. There is a great coffee shop there as well; the owners of which are very welcoming.

If you have some spare time, this is worth a visit. Some interesting artifacts. The cafe is really worth it and you don't need to go into the museum to eat cake.

Great tour with Garry.Wonderful personal stories about all sorts of items.Huge museum with many items of interest, from tractors to typewriters, from fencing wires to phones and medical equipment. Lovely old house belonging to a former local with items from the home.

Walked into the warmth of a fire going as it was chilly outdoors. There was an array of organic produce displayed on one wall, nice atmosphere. Food was delicious, coffee and berry smoothie very nice. Highly recommend popping in for a meal.
