Carpet Court Lower Hutt

Flooring is good quality and installed well by the sub-contractor. But Carpet Court has the most atrocious customer service I have ever had from any company. Initial insurance repair took months longer to complete than it should have and required incessant follow up with staff who don't communicate. Now, I'm not receiving communications to organise a quick repair job on a damaged piece of flooring under warranty. (Edit from June 2023, took over 6 months of almost weekly calls for Carpet Court to send the contractor back for what turned out to be a very quick repair.)Would recommend Marson Flooring Limited in Alicetown - have had great experiences with them in the past. Went into the Lower Hutt store a week or so before the lockdown to get some samples for an insurance job. The young woman in there was extremely rude, passive aggressive and was not interested in helping. When I asked questions about the carpet she was rude and completely unprofressional. My wife and young daughter even felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. Not a pleasant experience at all, and I suggest the young women should not be dealing with the public.

I found Carpet Court Lower Hutt generally pleasant to deal with and good value. I had carpet tiles installed my office, but the tiles were not well fixed to the floor. I called Carpet Court about it, the installer came back the same day and fixed some of them to the floor, but I found a few days later that some still came up when vacuuming. After a number of emails and phone calls and some miscommunication the area manager came out, looked at the job, and fixed it himself. All in all I'm happy with the outcome, but the process took longer and was more difficult that it should have been.

Will not use carpet court lower hutt again had floor laid had issues within a week and have spent the last 9 months trying to sort it out told them a week ago I wanted a refund now they have gone completely quite and won't respond, we were told the malmo vinyl that was laid would have no issues in front of fire but it's peeling. The prep was badly done so all through the kitchen the vinyl is lifting and separating, worst product and shop I have dealt with, use this place with caution. Update 2023 it's now been 19 months and we still have issues with the floor and carpet court are now ignoring us time to go to fair go so we can at least try for a refund

We wanted to recarpet our house before selling and asked for a tidy but not too expensive option. Salesman Steve was late to the appointment, unfriendly and visibly miffed when politely told his quote was $4k higher than others we'd spoken to. He'd priced for and pushed durability when I'd stressed that we just wanted it tidy for selling (new owner may immediately want to change it so no point worrying about durability!) He then said he'd send through a quote for a cheaper option but never got back to me. He needlessly lost Carpet Court a potential sale, luckily Harrisons Upper Hutt were quick, friendly and were able to help us.

Fantastic store, great staff, great service. We got Rhino carpet laid and the installers were awesome.

Disgusting behaviour from new manager Wayne. Heard him Talking about women in derogatory ways and using abusive words. Utterly disgraceful behaviour. Completely unprofessional and would not recommend at all.

We received exceptional service from Natalie Porter. She made the whole process of choosing the best product for our home. Natalie showed genuine interest in our requirements & was not just interested in sealing the deal. Her customer service & product knowledge was excellent & her personal touch sealed the deal. Natalie's recommendations of the Tradesmen to install the carpet was top notch! Both Brendon & Evan did an exceptional job with outstanding work ethics, the quality of their workmanship was excellent, strongly recommend them to any potential Customers.

Avoid these jokers. Went in to store following advice from their Auckland clearance branch staff to arrange freight. The lady in store seemed happy to proceed and told me the total cost including freight and reminded me that the consignment would arrive at the store. All seemed well until she started to work out the cost price. After a conversation with a superior she backed down on the offer and said she could only do it at double the price. Complete waste of time.
