PlaceMakers Kaiapoi

This Saturday we tried out PlaceMakers for the first time. However service was excruciating, the staff were not supportive towards one another and there was a serious lack of IT skills at till. This caused the overall simple transaction five times longer. Please improve on these things.

First time ever visiting on two occasions. Great service and help from Kerrie and Darren...cheers !!

Amazing service by guy that helped us but didnt like the way another lady spoke to him. She was so rude. She was one of staff too

Terribly difficult to get in touch with by phone to check stock levels. They simply don't answer the phone which is so frustrating. The drive through staff are great though.

Was really the last time we will visit as the staff are unhelpful and not busy enough. Dont know their stock and ask if you have a gold card when my partner is only 52! How rude. 3 times here and it never gets any better. Dont recommend to anyone.

Terrible customer service. The lady at the front counter was rude , lazy and completely un interested in helping me find the product I needed. Make the trip somewhere else

The two female staff members in the main shop were super unhelpful and made my first experience at placemakers quite unpleasant.However, the drivethrough staff made up for it with their professionalism and good cheer.

Helpful and pleasant. I just stopped in to grab 4 concrete blocks, they helped me find them and even loaded them into my car while I went and paid. Great service.

This morning we received excellent service (with a few laughs) from Ray in the timber department. Will definately go back and see him for any future requirements.

I purchased a dog wash unit online because my dog is alergic to pollen. Using the dog wash every day was adding up. The unit arrived and the fitting was different to what I expected. So I thought I would go the the local hardware shop for a soloution.Parking was not clearly marked, it is very easy to miss the entry. I have been 3 times to this Placemakers Kaiapoi and each time I have walked out with the incorrect item, even though I ask for help each time. The latest I was after a connection to attach my dog wash spray connection to my hot and cold taps. I brought the dog wash unit with me and I approached the young lady behind the counter showing her so I would get the correct size and connection. She said it was a hose connection and sent me to the hose connection isle at the back of the shop by myself. I am no expert but nothing looked right to me. But I trusted the advice, it is a hardware shop after all. So I picked out the closest thing I thought looked right and took it to the counter. The same lady served me, she looked at the connection and said that should do it. I paid $7.50 cash and she wished me luck! I drove home and couldn't wait to attach it. My poor dog has been itching all day and really needed his bath. It was the wrong part! I have since worked out myself it is a washing machine tap connection. If you need advice I wouldn't recommend this shop. Like I said this is the third time this has happened.
