No service, after our cold drinks were in classes on the counter it took 20 min to get to our table. I ordered the grill fish and baked potato but got burned fish and chips. We were served by different wait staff. This place is a shocker. MacDonalds are better.

We were unsure of what it would be like, given the hit and miss reviews but we are sooo glad we decided to go! It was like stepping through a portal and being right back in SA. The food was delicious, exactly like we remember Spur at home to be. The prices reflect the portion sizes so whilst it is a bit more expensive than your average kiwi restaurant, you are getting bang for your buck! Kieran was a fantastic waiter, very happy we sat in his section :)

After a previous bad experience at this restaurant, I was very surprised to see new menus, new crockery, much better service and it appeared that the food tasted even better (Definitely looked much better - pics attached). The table was acceptably clean but the sauce bottles could have been cleaner.All in all, I was expecting a similar experience to the previous times and I was really pleasantly surprised by the changes implemented, it made for a wonderful evening with the family.Thank you for taking the time to listen to my gripes and invite me back to see the changes you said you had made.

We went for breakfast on Saturday morning. Nice seating options. The staff were friendly. I really liked the fun background music. Food didn't take too long to arrive. Drinks were nice. We had burgers. Very filling. My baked potatoes was nice but I prefer it a bit more on the softer side. Reasonable price. We defo weren't the only people there, a steady stream of patrons, so it must be well enjoyed by others in the weekend A.M

We were extremely disappointed from the moment we walked in. The table was not wiped down and menus placed on top. We asked multiple times to request the table be wiped down. When the waitress finally showed up with the spray bottle, we were asked to wipe down the centre of the table ourselves as she couldn't reach. The spray bottle and cloth were also just left on the table for the duration of our meal.Half an hour after we placed our order, the waitress then came back and told us they had run out of chicken wings and had to order something else. This being at 8pm which is just terrible. When the food finally arrived, none of the steaks were cooked to the requested gradations (e.g. medium/well instead of rare) and the amount of fries was pathetic. All of the meals came out except for one burger meal. Five minutes later the waitress came and told us the kitchen forgot about the burger and we would have to wait 5 minutes more. The burger took over 15 minutes and we were told that there were no more chips left. When the burger finally showed up, we weren't surprised with the quality of the burger. The lettuce was shredded and browning and had one very sad sliver of onion.

Big meals with good flavour and great milkshakes, however experience has gone downhill. Food is slow to come out, floors are sticky, womens toilets are terrible, and for a restaurant that prides on being child friendly- there are no high chairs suitable for babies as none had straps still attached (waitress checked), or a leg bar, so any wriggly baby under 12 months would slip right through onto the floor. Not enough room for a pram either so had to hold baby on our laps. Waited over an hour for food.

Great food! Fantastic background music! The vibe is welcoming and energetic. We had a great family dinner. Kids played outside in the play area (we were able to keep an eye on them through the live video feed) kids were also able to play a bit of fornite while we waited for the food.

Met up with friends here for a dinner and some drinks and it felt like I walked straight into spur in South Africa!The atmosphere was awesome, the Savanna’s and Castle’s were amazing, and the food!!! I’m so so SO stoked they had vegan options available!(Tip for Vegans Visiting: ask them for no sauce on the food, I suspect there may be egg in the sauce)My mates and I had an amazing time and the banter with the managers was super classic! Thank you for such a homey, heart filling experience White Cloud Spur! ♥️
