The Redoubt Bar and Eatery
Surprisingly quiet on a Sunday afternoon though weather was terrible. Really nice ambience, good service and good main beers on tap also. Although we only had chips, they were reasonably priced and delivered very quickly from order. Will be back.

The service was great really friendly staff, the food was amazing really enjoyed it.The only thing that put me off my dinner slightly was the big mouth sitting on the next table speaking so loudly we could hear about the time she was giving birth, not exactly the nicest conversation to be over hearing while trying to eat your dinner, should have asked the staff if we could move elsewhere i guess, apart from that trauma the restaurant was great lol:)

Came in and asked for a platter for 2 to be made up, chose from the starters. Food came out amazing and we having a great time! Waitress very great!

Service was fantastic, friendly and accommodating waitress and the restaurant upstairs was very nice and clean.The mulled wine was delicious and service was lightning fast, considering it being a quiet Wednesday evening.The food unfortunately lets this establishment and wait/bar staff down, the prawn linguine tasted like a cream desert overloaded with castor sugar with one prawn cut into 4 pieces, kids meals probably the worst we have ever encountered, with crust used for a cheese and ham toastie only to be missing the cheese and the fries were less than the number of fingers on one hand. The beef cheeks were in need of few more hours braising, completed with a poorly prepared skin on mash potatoes..We decided to put all the food into a takeaway container to take home for our dog who'd greatly appreciate the desert like prawn linguine and sugar.Really hope there's another level to the culinary experience here.Goodluck Redoubt.

Good selection of food and drinks. Everyone enjoyed their meals here. Really great service. Nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Overall quality was fantastic.

It was really amazing. Food was all great staffs were kind. Nice vibe and atmosphere.Terrace on the top floor has a beautiful strand view.Pizza from the fire pit was amazing.Personally I love mushroom pizza, potato pasta, and duck pancake. I can say best food on Strand.You won't regret to visit this place.

I've been to Reboubt outlets three times in three places - all random visits - all very satisfying. The brand is reliable.The Strand was great. When I arrived, both the waitresses introduced themselves by name which really impressed me. Haven't seen that from hospitality staff in years!The eye fillet was perfect and big enough that I didn't need to order sides. The chef knows what he/ she is doing.The staff were attentive and genuine when they checked on me. That was appreciated.Thankyou for a nice meal.

Walked in off the street, warm smiles and cold beer. Steak for Bill and linguine for me, perfect. Steak was well aged and Chef cooked it medium rare as requested. Rocket and Pear salad beautifully seasoned. No room for desert - well maybe! Fancy coffee for Bill and creme brulee for me (shared!) The berry compote was the nicest I have ever eaten. I even received a lit candle to celebrate my birthday. The staff kept all tables clean and tidy with plenty of chat to share around.

Traveled from Auckland to Tauranga as my hairdresser moved down there, decided to stop and have a bite to eat and get a drink before catching up with a friend. Totally loved the staff, shout out to the young lady who was talking hair with me, so welcoming and friendly even asked my name to give it a personal touch. Will definitely be back and would recommend. Thank you
