Mrs Denton's Takeaway Cafe
Stumbled over this cafe 12 to 18 months ago as it is near to where I work part-time. Initially started buying the world famous in NZ Fairlie Bakehouse pies stocked here but soon realised that this cafes own pies were something to write home about as well. In fact when it comes to small owner operated pie shops/bakerys I can't think of a better one. There's innovation and flavour galore here. Get some!!!

Went here thinking I'd get a Fairly Bakehouse pie but after trying a few I really think hers are better! Best pies I've ever had.

Mrs Denton's Takeaway Cafe
Went there for breakfast and had a blue cod, leek pie. Pastry was fluffy, big chunks of fish. Very tasty. My coffee was good too. Tried their Paua pie before also lovely too. Bought a mutton & watercress pie and a pork belly pie to take home. Can't wait to taste them. Will be back soon

I went there not expecting much and went away completely blown away.The pies are hand-made.They taste amazing. They give the Fairly Bakery a real run for their money.The cod pie was terrific, I almost got into a mini tussle with a local for the last one.Highly recommended.Bring the kids too, the sweet treats are sublime.What a find.
