We had so much fun at our dance lessons and learning our dance for our wedding. Kathryn helped us feel at ease and was a fantastic teacher. Absolutely recommend for anyone who wants to learn a dance for their First Dance!

We absolutely enjoyed every dance lesson with Kathryn. We had 4 lessons and so worth it! Both of us were complete beginners but Kathryn made us feel so good and confident that we can do it! And the result was a beautiful dance that we will never forget and will keep practicing! Kathryn is an amazing teacher, she will make sure that you both enjoy your first dance while doing it and look amazing on a dance floor. We enjoyed our first wedding dance and cannot wait to see a video and share it with Kathryn! Thank you, Kathryn! :)

Kathryn choreographed our first dance for us. We are not big on dancing and are not coordinated in any way whatsoever. She made the lessons fun to learn, ran through it all step by step and boosted our confidence. She also records one of your dance run throughs so you can refer back to it if you need to. We paid for two lessons as we wanted a simple dance but there are packages offering more lessons if you want a bit more practice or a more complicated routine. We thoroughly enjoyed learning the dance routine and it was a great way to let our hair down with all the wedding planning!

Recommending this to all the future Mr. & Mrs..After doing a thorough research I stumbled on First Dance Wellington. The enquiry process was smooth, setting up a meeting and discussing our songs and the steps we would love to try. Kathryn was the perfect choreographer and included the moves we asked for, keeping in mind we both had two left feet :-) . She was patient and made sure we got the steps correct before moving to the next. Had the six lessons which were planned well over two months. Mostly important we enjoyed ourselves through the whole journey and the D day too.Thank you Kathryn.

Within 3 lessons, Kathryn had us pulling off our entire dance routine. It was fun, easy to learn, and such a special thing to be able to perform for our guests. 10/10 recommend Kathryn as a dance instructor - she was a great teacher and quick to pick up on what we wanted. Thanks so much Kathryn!

We absolutely loved learning our first wedding dance with Kathryn!! She is super professional, talented and an amazing teacher. Communication was outstanding and we received a video after each lesson. Kathryn took such a genuine interest in our wedding & dance and we can't recommend First Dance Wellington enough! Our first dance was a hit on our wedding day and no-one was expecting it. Thanks so much again Kathryn, you were so supportive and we loved every minute of it!

Before we met Kathryn, my partner and I were trying to decide how to avoid a first dance. The idea of dancing, in public, in front of all our closest friends and family, was terrifying. If you're thinking about booking First Dance Wellington, 100% do it! We were apprehensive at first but Kathryn immediately put us at ease and we ended up enjoying learning to dance so much. It is one of the highlights of our wedding journey. We will remember our dance for a lifetime, it never fails to put us in a good mood.

THE BEST WEDDING DANCE TEACHER IN NZ !!!!Along the way planning our wedding we really struck gold with finding Kathryn. She is such an amazing dance teacher and just so lovely, we always felt so comfortable and relaxed around her.We were so lucky to have our special wedding dance crafted by Kathryn, it was just perfect and exactly what we wanted.I would highly highly recommend her to any couples wanting to pull off the ultimate first dance on their special day.
