Ilam shopping complex, is where it is located. Dining in was allowed, takeaway too. I bought two chicken shawarmas today (26/05/2022). Was 19$ each. It came with a salad, sauce, a whole lot of chips, and a shawarma. That was not a fair deal. A shawarma today was a bit too salty. A lot of chips does not cover up a better shawarma. That is my individual opinion.

They are Ripping off people(especially Uni students) I order meat on chips($18)and he asked me sauce, I add two sauces and they charged me 2 dollar extra for sauce($20), the dish itself supposed to be comes with the sauce, they should not charge anything extra For NO meat on chips.

I have baught the beef on chips with extra cheese and hot sauce several times over the past year and I have never been disappointed. Always friendly and on average only 10mins from order placed.

Absolutely love Ilam Barbeques. Have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and even under new ownership they haven't compromised on flavour!! We've tried other places but always come back because they have the best chicken souvlaki and meat on chips!! Super friendly service. We order regularly and food is always a hit!

Great meat on chips, defenitly some of the better meat on chips I’ve had in Christchurch. Reason for the 2 stars is they charge $1 per sauce on top. Who does this? It’s shops like this that start me down the slippery slope to communism. It’s a shame I won’t be going back as they serve great food.

I ordered Chicken burger and Chicken wrap through Uber eats after lockdown and got charged through Uber eats.This is 4-5 times that I got wrong order delivered after 30-35 minutes and you guys play blame game between yourself and Uber eats.None of you checked what was packed inside and there was no paper receipt.You guys make people suffer and later don’t respond to phone calls.I was really craving for Kebabs and really put off now with the pathetic service and unprofessional behavior.Would never visit you guys again and would recommend the same to my friends.

First time diner, had a beef souvlaki and found it very tasty. Not soggy nor drowned in sauce as some other people have experienced - in fact the pita was particularly good. Friendly and fast service, will definitely be back.

Ordered lamb- get sausage!I reckon if you’re selling sausage not actual meat you should tell your customers- either that or charge sausage prices- $30 for a plate of sausages is an absolute rip off.Following reply- DoorDash menu says lamb. No mention if sausage (kofta). Chicken or lamb or falafel.

I love this place, service is great, the food is even better. What more could you ask for? I don’t know. I come here nearly weekly even as a poor uni student because I love it so much
