One of Auckland's best music shops, tucked away down the picturesque Queens Arcade. From vinyl to CD, DVD to Bluray it has a wide variety of formats. The shop caters to all genres so you can buy Nirvana or Bach, Dolly or Katy; the shop is well stocked. With friendly staff who will happily order it if its not in. Another great place to peruse on your lunch break.

Excellent record and cd store. One of the longest running in Auckland. You can often find a bargain in the bins.

Sitting in a corner of a mall in the heart of the city is Marbeck's. I've visited the store once, I wasn't remotely disappointed when I walked out with a Brian Eno album.What makes me rate this place 5 stars is that the staff as well as the owner are really communicative and on-to-things. I ordered 2 Trentemoller LPs online in Dec '22. They were listed as out of stock on the website. I had Roger email me and offer me a better pressing of one album which was to be re-pressed. It was in the last week of May '23 that I received a prompt email as soon as the new stock arrived - asking me if I still wanted to buy. I said yes! The efficient Alex had those delivered to me through NZ Post in a couple of days!It's the love for music that we all have in common.Seriously, if you love your music, support your local record store!(Also the LPs are reasonably priced to competitors)

A real gem of a shop stocking all genres of music across different media: cds, dvds, vinyl ... Marbecks is a musical institution in Queens Arcade that has navigated changes in the musical scene exceptionally well, with a wide range of stock such as, for example, Amy Winehouse at the BBC (cd & DVD double set). Staff are very friendly; knowledgeable and helpful. Pricing realistic and competitive.
