The old women who use to work there was lovely she wrapped gifts for free depending on how many customers were there and would ask how your day was etc The new women is rude, I walked in and she was growling a girl without a mask on (fair enough) but then she started vacuuming the store when people were coming in and out acting like they were in the way. She was sweating profusely/stressed out and was acting like she didn’t even want to be there. I asked for something on the shelf and her response was “oh now I’m going to have to do this and that are you sure you really want this”. I replied yes. She gave me a time to come back when it’d be ready. Later I return and she says “you just walked out so I didn’t even bother draining the fountain for you as your meant to pay first anyway”. I reply “well you didn’t tell me this before” (rolls eyes) Anyway fast track 1 hour later I get the item I wanted and it’s wrapped nicely because she knew how annoyed I was. Her last comment “we usually charge for wrapping but because you waited so long I did it for free” Petty and rude.

Just had the most amazing customer service experience, attentive and friendly...Will definitely come back.

The shop in westcity use to be a favourite of mine. But the lady in there is really rude and abrupt with the customers now. I felt eally embarrassed for the people she was talking to, it was unnecessary.

Was looking for a 21st key for my daughter. The older lady was rude from the get go. She tried to make me feel stupid several times. I was asking for advice about some of the maori type carving ones on the shelf below and it was like she was just looking for an argument. I stopped mid conversation, told her where to get off and walked out. I have never experienced a retail worker like this before. I was shocked. I would never go there again. This woman should not be working in retail. There was no excuse for this behaviour. Reading other reviews about this lady proves her behaviour is consistent and she is ruining the business for the owners of this store.

I went there today, great shop, beautiful stuff but poor customer service. The lady is so rude. She accused my friend and I for stealing, told into our face we are liars then checked the camera and found out we were telling the truth. I'm a retailer too, we're not allowed that to do this to a customer

Absolutely love this shop but the last couple of times I’ve been in the elderly lady who works there has been abrupt and rude to not only me but other customers in store. I ask a simple question and feel like I’m annoying her. I do love this place but it’s hard to want to visit when I see her there

Magical little shop, have been taken by 2 different people only to encounter a delightful and accommodating older lady, who couldn't do enough for me, will definitely be returning for more enchanting purchases. Thank you.

Gift World Henderson is my 'go to' shop when I need a special gift or card for someone. There is always something there that will suit the person and/or occasion, and I have found the staff very helpful and friendly on all my visits to this store, of which there have been many over the years. Running a store is a thankless task and I am grateful that Gift World are still in business and continue to be well stocked during these awful Covid times. Thank you for your professionalism during these anti-social times, where Covid has made consumers forget that its a shop attendants job to offer help and advice when you walk into their store.
