R S Lane Panel and Paint - Petone

Very poor. Took three weeks to complete a simple insurance job although thankfully I was away for two of those weeks. Then completely failed to follow instructions on owner work and billed me nearly $1800 for it. Dishonestly told me the work was 'at polishing stage' when it hadn't even started. Also claimed I had 'accepted' the work, even though I never received a quote and had only asked for a single piece of clip-in plastic to be replaced on the bumper. The parking bulb I had asked to be replaced was done at the last minute, with a staff member using a bulb from his own car. This bulb almost immediately failed. After all of this- and more - I was given a generic email address to complain to and I spent a long time writing an email only for it to be rejected by the website. I will be complaining to the AA because this place shouldn't be accredited by them.

Poor Customer Service.They damaged door trim while panel beating my car. It took them 3 months and numerous emails to get this door trim fixed. The repair took less than an hour. Then they didn't even apologise and it was like they were doing me a favour.I understand mistakes happen but if you own them, show some remorse and make it right in a timely manner it goes a long way.While I was in reception I heard another customer ringing to complain about damage they had done undertaking a repair so appears it is not an isolated incident.A heads up that they also, after repair, leave the interior of your vehicle dirty, with mud spread from boots and hands (see photos). Surely a bit of plastic on the floor of the vehicle or take your boots off? My car was in for repair twice and this happened both times so worth mentioning. They do clean the outside which is great.It is a shame as I can not fault their actual panel and paint work, they do a good job but the experience of dealing with them and their lack of attention to detail means that I will not be using RS Lane again and I do not recommend anyone else using them until these things change.

Extremely helpful and professional service. Have dealt with RS Lane over the years (it's always other people hitting my cars, I promise) and will continue to use and recommend their services.

My vehicle went in for a repair from insurance and when i got the car back, two months later, found paint cracking and when i followed the cracks, i found paint runs down the door and paint residue on window rubber. i took the vehicle back to get all these issues corrected, took them three days to do the job. when i went back to pick up my car. They fixed the cracking paint but there was still paint overspray on window rubber and inner guard plastics, which were included in the previous issues yet these were not addressed.when asked why these issues were not corrected, just got a blank stare from the employee.NOT A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PRIDE AND JOY TO A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT CARRY OUT WORK TO STANDARDS.

Great service from the team at RS Lane Panel Beaters. We needed some extra parts for my van Shannon got it sorted quickly with the insurance company and got the work underway. Also great communications from Paige throughout the whole time. Cheers guys

DON'T GO THERE!!!!!Worst experience I've had!Poor customer service and communication.Every time I call they for a new update for my car, they don't know anything about it. I don't think there is a good communication/system between the workshops.The customer service team have no idea what they are doing and what they are talking about. They always answer my questions with useless script, which is probably what they learned from the first day of training. Not helpful at all!!!They used second hand parts and told the insurance company they put new parts on my car. Lookhow dirty and old the rubber is.I have to say the mechanics knows what they are doing and they did a good job. But I still won't go back again.

My car was stolen, than recovered. It was damaged significantly, R and S Lane were the organization my insurance used to repair the damage.When I got my car back, it was as if I bought a new car.Joe who looked after me was a breath of fresh air. He really was a blessing in a very stressful time.
