Lighting Plus

Recently purchased 5 pendant lights, 3 of which were send down from the Chch store on an overnight courier. All staff I had spoken with including Garry from the Dunedin branch were very polite and helpful and made the whole process incredibly easy, especially regarding the prompt delivery.

Young man on front counter was very helpful. Shade range a little bland. Great value. Closes a little early. But all round Nice shop. Good access.

1. In March 2015 I bought at sale price, a double LED floor lamp. Recently (December 2017) a switch broke and rang Dunedin shop, acknowledging that the item was obviously out of warranty and could they give me a name who could replace the switch. 'Bring it in', I was told. I will not give details as to what occurred as I do not want to provide a precedent which others might insist on, but sufficient to say I came away, at no cost, as one very happy customer with a working lamp under my arm2. My son about 1 year ago decided to upgrade his home lighting to LEDs,. Having established what items was required he purchased same (several hundred dollars worth) from Lighting Plus Dunedin.. He then found he could achieve the same result by a simpler method and at significantly less cost. He returned the original items purchased to Lighting Plus and was refunded his purchase price in full and with good grace.

Went in store with my husband. We found one light that we liked but were after about 12 of them. When the unenthusiastic salesman came over and then looked at which light he told us sorry, we only have that one on the shelf. He promptly walked away without asking or showing us any alternatives. We too promptly left and won't return. It worked out well as we went to Mitre10 and found the same light half price and lots in Stock.

Went to the Dunedin store with an idea and the staff member gave me a better solution and was very helpful, and the product price was 50% off!

Over the last couple of weeks we have purchased lighting and the first time was delt to by Garry which we received outstanding service .Today 19/01/20 purchased again and delt by Charlotte and must say let lighting plus down as was pretty clear she doesn't like her job and by the unfriendly cold service received would rather be elsewhere.My advice if you don't want to work in retail then leave and let someone who actually wants a job take the position .

Good selection, but most of the staff are pretty average compared to the knowledge at other stores. Just wish they had well trained staff as well as the range.

Visited this store looking for ceiling fans.The salesman Jason was absolutely superb. He knew the fans we were interested in and could answer all our questions and was so very helpful. Great customer service.
