Upper Nihotupu Walk 40min
Very easy walk. Didn't even realize that it has been 80mins return already. It's so doable. The track has great views of falls and the dam. Refreshing sceneries.

Upper Nihotupu Walk 40min
Good walk, track does have an incline that is downhill when going in towards the dam and uphill coming back out. Definitely felt it coming back but its a gentle incline and very do-able for most people. Track is nice and wide, tree canopy offers some good shade in most places. There are some public toilets on the track as well but did not visit them myself.Lots of little waterfalls to see on the way to the dam.

Upper Nihotupu Walk 40min
Good walk, would say it's 40 mins each way. I wouldn't suggest taking a pram (saw someone with one when we were on the way back), as the track is chunky bits of rock/gravel and also you walk downwards on the way there, so trying to walk a pram back up would prove difficult. Beautiful natural scenery surrounds. Surprisingly there was a beautiful waterfall, then an open river leading to the dam :)

Upper Nihotupu Walk 40min
Nice relaxing walk with a few waterfalls and of course the dam. Good covered picnic spot with 4 tables. Tram line track was closed due to a slip. Managed the walk with a semi fit 4 year old.

Upper Nihotupu Walk 40min
There's a bit of forest bathing, a waterfall and of course the dam. Easy walk, 40 minutes (each side) at leisurely pace, what's not to like. Tip: Parking is about 700m closer (when coming from West coast to Piha) to what maps show. Look out for the parking at 200m sign.

Upper Nihotupu Walk 40min
The best family walk that I've done in west Auckland. Some steeper sections but easy enough for young and old. Mostly shaded with the lovely vegetation but the highlight has to be the waterfalls.

Such a nice walkMy kids (10 & 1) easily managed this walk. Yet was a beautiful hike feel without the pressure and hardship. Amazing views.
