Dunedin AIRPORT SHUTTLES & Eco Friendly Taxis

Driver was very nice and patient, just not sure why i was quoted $50 for a Shuttle from the airport when, apon my friend hearing of this large sum, called them and got the same service in my name at $27.50.Even changed the drop off destination closer to town and i was again quoted $50 for a shorter not out of the way trip. A last minute passenger was nicely accommodated by the driver for $30 which is very reasonable. Information wasn’t passed on to the driver when i cancelled my first booking due to the drastic price reduction. Clearly something below board going on as the driver had Christos 50? written on the board, told him my friend had prepaid and that was that. Doesn‘t leave you with the best feeling.

We were collected at 7:30am and drove around Dunedin picking people up until 8:20am filling up the van to absolute full capacity, before finally getting to the airport AFTER check in closed! We also booked a car seat and paid extra, and I called to confirm and the car seat was not provided. All round very average service.

Unreliable and rude. This company booked us in to be picked up between 3.00 and 3.30pm but arrived 30 minutes early at 2.30pm and blamed us for not getting a phone message they sent 5 minutes before they arrived. We just happened to be ready but instead of being grateful for that the driver was really rude and he drove too fast. There were other passengers who were equally unimpressed. The company hasn't responded to my written complaint after 3 weeks. I won't use this company again.

I have used this service several times over the past couple of months. The driving from all drivers I have had is scary. Thought I was going to die or we would be in a car accident, on top of this everytime I have experienced car sickness which is not something I suffer from. I understand time is a priority but putting customers at risk of the drivers lack of driving responsibilities and safety is a huge concern.

Pretty terrible to be honest. Driver was 40 minutes late when we arrived in Dunedin, and seemed very confused about everything. Customers (of which there were many) were expected to load all of their extremely large luggage on the bus (whilst the driver was on his phone). An older woman had bought her walker and this was very nearly left on the road, and was then left to roll around loose in the bus. On the way to the airport was not much better. It is not a shuttle it is a bus, and as such there are many passengers to get through before you, if it was advertised as a bus service this wouldn’t be such a problem. Cold air conditioning was cranked up despite the cold day. No call to notify us of expected ETA. No signage on vehicle. Would not recommend and would not use again. Leave plenty of time if you have to use this service, we’re talking several hours before your flight.

Very disappointing service. I was told via email that my shuttle would arrive in Dunedin and Suburbs at 3-3.30pm, and arrive at the airport at approximately 4.15pm. Instead my shuttle came at 2.40pm, saying they had lots of passengers to pick up so needed to pick me up early... but arrived at the airport at 3.50pm.This is also NOT an isolated experience... I have heard firsthand from many others who have been screwed by Dunedin Airport Shuttles turning up very early or very late. I won't book with Dunedin Airport Shuttles again and urge people to utilise alternatives such as SuperShuttle or simply get a ride with a mate.

My ride from the airport to CBD took 2hours 45min. They put far too many people on the bus which is why it took so look. Also we had to stop for gas on the way. I will not ride with them on my way back to the airport. When booked i was told i would be in CBD within an hour.

I’ve used these shuttles a few times and it’s always a wild experience. I’ve been left at the airport at night for over an hour cause the shuttle left without me and other passengers, i’ve been picked up significantly earlier and significantly later than the time stated on the email. Todays experience was insane though. first, they made me walk a significant distance with my suitcase when other drivers have easily picked me up at the right place. then, the driver started driving before i was able to sit down, luckily only my shoe broke and i was fine. the trailer with the bags also opened on the highway so that was kinda stressful. Honestly, i don’t think the low cost is worth the risk at this point.

The booking was smooth and they responded well to my request for a change of schedule. But the driver...his driving was so rough and scary....he was speeding so high on SH1 that I felt I was going to die should he make just a small mistake. I want to support a local business but I simply do not feel safe with their shuttle service.

Customer service is shocking, just look at the replies to other google reviews. The guy I talked to on the phone was unprofessional and less than helpful. They do not offer refunds if your fight plans change within 12 hours, they do not offer credit transfer and also will not reply to emails. I was charged for a service I couldn't use because they wouldn't refund me, which I imagine is against the Consumer Guarantees Act. And if you do make it on one of their shuttles it is a gamble whether you're going to get a competent/safe driver or not. I had been using their service for a while but I won’t be any longer.
