Wow. Such a warm and welcoming stay from Jen and Dewi. It really felt like a home from home and was really comfortable for our family of two adults and two children (6 months and 2.5 years) - the bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower has to be seen to be believed!Dewi kindly took our (tractor obsessed) son to see his tractor and then (hero alert) drove from their house to Hobbiton to reunite him with his fire truck that we had left behind!! Jen made us a delightful apple crumble to accompany the family meal we made the night before. Lots of great conversations in a very special house. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us. Full of character. We stayed in the attic room, it was cosy and warm. Delicious breakfast, great shower, comfy beds.

The owners were lovely! Great house, well made, and warm! Great for a winter trip even! So many stars out the back, and it's great staying with other people there! You meet such fantastic people with amazing life stories. 100% recommend to anyone and everyone!

We booked for a group celebration in March 2022 for 15 adults. I have booked many large houses before but have never had a host as friendly, communicative and enthusiastic as Jen. Jen offered to come to the house with her husband Dewi and their catering partner Helen, and cater a three course themed meal for us for a very reasonable price. It completely made our experience - relaxed but professional, involved but also wanting to respect our privacy. They pulled out all the stops to make our weekend amazing. On top of that the house was incredibly well-equipped with every kitchen accessory and pantry item you'd ever need, the rooms were large and comfortable, and the views were amazing.If you are looking for accommodation for your next event then there isn't anything better I've come across in the past, and I highly recommend getting one of the nights catered.- Sam & The Great Gatsby Gang

Jen and Dewi are the perfect hosts that welcome guests onto their amazing, unique home. Enjoyed dinner, stories and laughs with our hosts and other guests. Beds are warm and comfortable. The views from every window is postcard worthy. A highlight of our holiday.

I never knew that my expectations could be exceeded. I booked for my bridal party for the night before my wedding and I was stressed like most brides are before the big day however I walked in and Jen and Dewi were there and all my worried faded as we hugged and talked and connected. The meal was amazing along with the snack platters and dessert I will be back with more friends and family. Their accomodation tells a story and once you meet these lovely people it feels like your family. The accomodation was ofcourse amazing everything a girl could want to relax and enjoy herself with her girls. Massive thanks to you both I am so grateful to have meet you and I'll see you next time!

You should definitely go there!We had a wonderful night at House with nails. Not only thanks to the beautiful home that was build with so much love and care but also thanks to the amazing hosts. We felt at home in this beautiful house. They cooked a home made meal for us that was delicious. It was also my birthday that day and they made everything so special for me and my boyfriend. Fantastic place, great view of the kaimais, and fantastic rustic feel and plenty of beds. Was perfect for my sister's 21st, and a great getaway close to Hamilton.While the weatherboards have nails, the Interior stands as advertised without any metal nails and is a structural feat!

Location is different for everyone but was great for us.The greeting on Arrival was happy and friendly.The rooms are great and break fast was just perfect for us.Is close to hobberton and easy stay for rail trail people.The house is unique and l won't spoil those pleasures that you will enjoy finding for your self .Highly recommended
