New World Pioneer

New world definitely has the worst customer service (out of the major supermarket chains). I found an incorrect price in the system while doing self check out. After 30 min and talking to three rude staff, they finally corrected the price. But I thought they should have refunded me the price based on its policy?

Was so impressed with the facing that all the staff in Grocery were doing, wanted to give them all a high five lol. Makes the store look so amazing. This one and the New World on Broadway are the best supermarkets in Palmerston North easily.

New World Pioneer is the best supermarket in Palmerston North by far. Great meat, great bakery, easy to get around, lovely staff that are helpful. As supermarkets go, this is the best.

Very busy Sunday, difficulty finding a car park with sale on at an adjacent shop. Got my wife in on wheelchair, found all we needed and a bit more. Like the shop layout. Signage is good.

The store is very nice it's spacious and well looked after. The staff were polite and helpful

Overall experience was good up until check out.The older lady on check out, Leanel her name is proceeded to ask me why i have my toddler in the trolly and not the seat part. I replied because it’s broken. The seat part didnt come out at all. And didnt realise when my child was ready to hope in the trolly half way around our trip. She then proceeded to tell me its a safety thing for my child which im well aware of. You could not pull the seat part out at all. And just kept bringing up the safety part when i had already told her, your trolley was broken. The way she went about it was extremely rude. And i dont know what she expected me to do, once realising when it was half full of groceries at this point not to mention also pregnant.The young girl though once i left the checkout who was bagging up my groceries was lovely, apologetic and actually explained more about why they dont like them in the trolley which i totally understood that anyway. As ive worked in a operating supermarket before. Where this older lady should actually take some tips and advice how to handle situations better. Like this younger lady.I don’t usually shop at this new world because most of my encounters havent been great at this one unfortunately, due to the older staff it looks like at this stage.

Well stocked shop good variety and most importantly for me aisles not blocked by staff stocking very pleasant and helpful staff member at the checkout

Dayna from Deli did an awesome job helping me get a cake for my daughter's birthday last minuteHonestly made a little 5 year old very happy so thank you!
