The charger is currently still free it charges quickly but I did have a little trouble unplugging the chademo from the car (first time using a chademo charger) I dont know if it was just tight or inexperience

All good today. Needed to use tag to get started. Was occupied when we first arrived so went to do our shopping in Te Kauwhata. Was all clear when we returned. Takes quite a while to start charging after linking up. Had a nice chat with the cattle looking at me over the fence. Charged at 49kW most of the time.

The price is right. It's just a charger next to a substation.No water, restrooms, shade, shopping, shelter, or anything really available.Bring a book and plan spending your money in another town, I guess.

The equipment is fairly new. 50KW maximum charge rate for CCS and Chademo. It is very easy to locate, and not too far away from the on / off ramp.Very handy if the charger in Hampton Down is occupied. No toilets or café near by, so need to take that into account.

eV charging station with three types of chargers (AC, CHAdeMO, and CCS) and two car parks next to it.Be aware that the current roadworks on SH1 mean Google may try to direct you via a non-existent route (if driving south) but if you keep going along SH1 there is another way to get onto the road which has the charging station.As others said, no amenities. Smelt a bit like cows on the day I used it. However, great to have a free station along the Hamilton - Auckland route.
