Positive Electrical & Security (2007)

We have loyally used Positive for the past 10 years since our new house was built, to replace several light switches, install extra power sockets, install two outdoor electrical sockets for our spa pool and outdoor entertainment area to name a few. Recently we needed another switch replaced in our bathroom so we called Positive and to our surprise found that we no longer existed in their database because they have updated their system. I gave our details again, sent in a photo of the previous switch they had installed so they could supply the same type and happily booked two weeks in advance of the install. We live a short 4.5km from Positive's depot so well within the CBD. Their invoice was nothing short of alarming to find we had been billed for an hours work when the technician was on site for a cool 15 minutes. When I called to query the charge I was told they would check the GPS in the vehicle and come back to me. They were very efficient in calling me back to advise that the tech had to pick up the switch on the way and it was about 15mins there and back, then I was advised they usually charge an hour standard for a call out anyway even though his was not communicated at any time! I asked why it was considered a call out when I booked two weeks in advance and to top it off they had all this time to order in my switch, yet the tech had to pick it up on the way! Not the way to treat your loyal customers Positive" and rest assured we won't be using you again in the future."
