Fantastic service and a classic craftsman of engagement rings. The ring design started from an assortment of designs I shared, which turned into versions of sketches till we settled on a final design. Herbs vast experience with designing custom one-of-a-kind rings shined through as considerations that I would never have thought of were addressed (such as how the engagement ring will fit with the wedding ring). The range of materials was discussed thoroughly and matched to the design and budget. As a bonus, Herb's updates and communications were always discrete to make sure the engagement surprise wasn't accidentally leaked.My fiance was blown away by the design and quality of the ring.Thank you Herb for creating something that we will treasure forever.

I met Herb through his son in 2014/2015 where I was planning on taking the next step with my now wife. I had a look at other jewelers, and they all seemed to be generic and overly expensive. Going to Herb and Sandra, I was greeted with a very family orientated atmosphere where your ideas and opinions were heard, adopted, and executed. Herb took my rough sketch and many inspirational pictures and created works of art in the form of a beautiful engagement ring and wedding bands. Herb and Sandra, it was a pleasure working with you. I wanted to get my ring fixed which entailed reenforcing a tiny chain link across the band. I came to Herb after another jeweler said the job couldn’t be done (or they wouldn’t do it). He was honest with me explaining the intricate details of the task and the risk involved with repairing the unique piece. After chatting for a bit I felt confident leaving the special gift with him. About a week later I picked it up and am so happy he was able to do what others wouldn’t try. And now I know a bit more about my delicate ring and how to care for it. Wedding ring supposed to be a memorable one but this ring and place hasn’t got a good or comfortable memory for us.1.the ring design wanted by my partner was not quite considered by Herb Merkle. No detailed drawings were provided initially

Herb was professional and fully transparent with us, taking exceptional care with my grandmothers jewelry, fashioning it into new rings for my now new husband and I (been meaning to write this review for weeks).Herb's work is fine, precise and exceptional. He's also reasonably priced! He has stunning man made diamonds available which I ooood and ahhhhd over.Everyone that sees our rings comments on their beauty and the craftmanship.It's true that we couldn't recommend Herb Merkle Design enough. Could not rave more highly about Herb and the rings he has designed my now husband and I! Firstly, he created the most stunning engagement ring which I was blown away by. Then when I came with ideas for my wedding band, he not only ran with it but created something so much more beautiful than I could have hoped. I felt educated and fully a part of the process all throughout. My husband was also presented with so many options for wedding bands, and was able to create something unique but also stunning!
