Stylish, modern, thoughtful oh and WHAT a location! Dark Sky Villas have been such an amazing part of a romantic weekend away. Our beautiful host Natasha has thought of everything when it comes to staying here- A warm welcome, fresh flowers and fruit, cosy blankets, scrupulously clean and even a little Easter egg. These modern architectural homes have been designed so well and really capture the views and vistas this landscape has to offer. Hands down the best accommodation in Tekapo! Thank you for having us!

Superb place to stay. A fabulous ski holiday for two families, one in each villa. Everything you need, the hosts have thought of the little things that make life easy on holiday. Wonderful hosts, excellent quality and perfect location. And oh what a view. We’ve booked for our return already. The kids had a ball!

We have stayed at the Dark Sky Villas a number of times and it is always wonderful. A perfect spot with spectacular views. The accommodation is so comfortable and clean. The beds are super luxurious and toasty warm during the winter. The hosts are extremely helpful and add the extra love and care which makes this a little gem in the heart of beautiful Tekapo.

These villas are awesome! The hosts really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, including local knowledge and history! The attention to detail in the very well appointed villas mean you have everything to be warm & cosy. A short walk to town for a morning coffee or evening meal if you wanted. Would totally recommend.

This was a sublime place to stay. We stayed as an extended family, using both villas and it was magic to be that close to the town (4 minutes walk) and yet able to see the lake and mountains so beautifully. Make sure you ask the host for the tips on day trips and all the local knowledge!
