Things have improved here in the last year with staff a lot more friendly but as with all Countdown shops it's very hard to get help in the shop as hardly ever see staff anywhere but the checkout! I do not shop here for our main grocery shop as the meat is too expensive and not the best quality unfortunately! Overall great to have the convenience of a supermarket in town even if things could be improved.

I do shop here for my basics, staff are awesome. More variety at Morrinsville Countdown. Plenty of parking. Hi went to our local Countdown this morning, and was able to get what I needed which was awesome. Considering what the staff have been through over the last couple of yrs with Covid, I say a big warm thank you to you all. Some items may have not been in the shop over time. But you all kept the doors open and you all smiled and were all friendly. Thank you from me I'm a local and once again I appreciate your work you've done and still doing. The place is clean and tidy and still the shelves are stacked. Go have a look and say hi to the staff

Most checkout staff are lovely and helpful time shop is clean and tidy. Produce is hit and miss at times but who ever was on cooking roast chickens today obviously was not in the mood for work chickens were literally thrown in the bag and dried up nearly not appealing at all

Rather scrambled placement of goods. Not too sure where to find things.All staff, bar one, very friendly and helpful. One lady (mid 40's) when asked where I could find Fly Spray and Friskies Cat Food, barked out that they were 'Out of Stock'. Then turned her back on me?? Maybe the Manager?? Each time I've struck her, she is abrupt and rude. I worked in retail for over 20 years and even if the question was a pain in the behind, you always apologise with a smile and say you are sorry or give a reason why. This lady needs more training or a new job. :( Just moved here and was impressed by the friendly people until I met her. Went to the 4Square and got cat food and fly spray. Will go there again. :(

Do my best not to shop at this store, often low on stock, not a lot of variety, and very minimal staffing. Many times at check outs I've had staff scan and throw my items down the line and they've ended up falling onto the floor/haven't bothered to offer help pack and just stand there watching while I do it myself. When they do help pack they end up squashing soft things like your bread under cans etc. Sad to hear a lot of comments from the community saying the same.
