Bought 2 cars from there now. The cars are responsible price. I got a 07 CRV Sport for 6k about 3 years ago. Still running mint and was in awesome condition. Then my wife got a Honda Accord 08 and it was also in awesome condition and drove great. (Forgot the price) but if your wanting a car weather if it’s your first or not I’d highly recommend this place. Also don’t count on the bad reviews from way back. Times have changed

This is the third car we have bought from these guys. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. A Special mention for Kevin who spent a lot of time with us and helping make the best choice for our new family car. Kevin knows his stuff and has a great humour to go with it. These guys sell beautiful cars that are well looked after at good prices. Great customer service and communication. Nice owner too.10/10 would recommend.

I went to view cars under 5k and they were all crammed in the back far corner with the more expensive cars all out front. the salesmen did not seem interested in assisting me.The car I was interested in was covered in bird poo and dust and it had deck screws thru the doors holding the trim on. As a result the door open signal was always on.The Salesmen told me that in my price range cars are either running or pretty".I would suggest buying privately over this dealer."

TIP: READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS THAT ARE FACTUALY CORRECT. I must have overlooked the reviews before visiting their junk yard in gracefield Lower Hutt. Vehicles with high kms upto 400k are highly overpriced, not to the standard and grumpy sales man. I would give them a ZERO stars if there was an option. Dodgy low-key business

They were happy to take my money for the vehicle and ship it when I got the vehicle it had major problem. Transmission problems. Also has a brand new wof yet it had balled tyers a break light out and a reverse light told me he would fix all the problems in Christchurch witch never happend just mucked me around I dont recommend this company there a joke. And sell you vehicles that have problems and arnt up for wof standards.

After an $1800 repair bill for a WOF for my old car, I threw in the towel and decided it was time for a new car. I’d spent a few days by this point looking on Trade Me and Boycott but was apprehensive to commit as there are too many dodgy sellers and these, in turn give the genuine sellers a bad name. A friend of mine sent me the link for Clearance Cars and having my heart set on another twin turbo Subaru Legacy, I instinctively changed the listing order to lowest price first so I knew I’d view all cars within my budget. Needless to say, when a 6 seater Ford Falcon came up, my search stopped as I’ve been trying to find one for years. At that point the Subaru no longer mattered. Without any further thoughts to what I was doing, I sent my inquiry through and got a phone call from Pan almost immediately. I decided to try for finance and despite almost loosing it due to me messing up my income, it was resubmitted and approved.I’m in Napier so I packed the man child and kids into the Jazz at 5am and headed to Wellington to collect it. Naturally, I got us lost in the main city for 2 hours and was ringing every 5 minutes for bearings but staff laughed it off unfazed and we found our way in the end. Valuable lesson to invest in a Navman discovered.As I made my way into the showroom, I found staff very inviting, willing to help and invested in their customers. I made my way to my blind purchase for a final inspection and was informed by Pan that a new WOF and 3 months rego had just been done earlier in the week.True to Falcon form, I was greeted with the roar of the engine and the memories of the thunks and clanks of childhood from me stepfather’s old Falcon. The car drives very smoothly, is comfortable and very, very spacious. We stopped in Masterton to feed the sprogs and discovered that the remote batteries didn’t work and we couldn’t unlock with the key. New batteries fixed that problem. Can’t complain. New dash switches missing which I was informed of upon purchase but minor 'problems' to say the least.A week in and I am very, very happy with my purchase. Though upon looking at NZTS as I wanted a yearly cost for rego, it came back with an error that the vehicle is exempt from registration which make no sense to me as it had to go through the system to obtain both a current rego and WOF. I assume it’s a delay in processing ownership papers as they have yet to arrive due to covid so if one of the sales staff can contact me ASAP, that would be fantastic. Despite the ‘glitch in the Matrix’ my overall experience has been great. Thank you Clearance Cars!

DO NOT TRUST THEM!USE YOUR OWN MECHANIC FOR WOF CHECK!!I was looking at buying a Mazda van for my new small business, I just needed 24 hours to sort out my finances.I gave them a $250 deposit with I was told could be used on any vehicle or refunded, after checking the vehicles owner history I was put off by the fact that the dealer had lied about how many owners the van had in the past.I went back the next day, 24 hours later and told them I wanted to look at something else on their yard, then I got told that I had lost my deposit because I didn't want the Mazda that had been in multiple accidents?Absolute trash.You stole $250 but lost a 10k sale, well done team.
