Fantastic campsite in the perfect location for Hot Water Beach. Warren and family are fantastic hosts, within 5 minutes of arriving we were sat in his kitchen drinking home brew Pilsner and being cooked dinner! Great experience. The eels in the river are pretty cool too.

Nice family camping, super nice owner, he showed us how he fed the eels :). The campsite is located next to the hot sand beach. 5min walking

Lovely place. 2min from beach and they give you good shovels for free. Quiet and green paradise. Very family friendly. The owner is lovely to have a chat to and will happily give you tips of what to explore. Nice hot showers and little kitchen and lounge area with pool table.

Was looking for a last minute stay, and found this place. In a great location, friendly owner and they also provided shovels to create the famous hot water spa on the beach.

Great place to camp. Good vibes, chilled, many hammocks, spades which are essential for the conveniently close hot water beach. The relaxed environment made for an enjoyable stop.They have a cute cat wandering about. Outdoor shower with vines growing in to it. (Indoor shower also there)

If you don't know where you 'll sleep close to How Water Beach go to Auntie Dawns Place!!! Great hosts, friendly family, close to the Beach, quiet place, have all facilites. We spent two greats days!!! Also the second evening they invited us to tasted some homemade beers and ciders. They really take care about customers. We recommend it!!!

Amazing spot. Took my family here on their first visit to NZ, they felt right at home. Definitely a special place, so quiet, so close to the beach, and so many birds and wildlife just outside the door. We had a nice family dinner using the kitchen, it is well stocked with pots and pans. Cozy beds and living space. Loved being able to borrow the shovels for the beach. Warren was very hospitable as well, thank you for the great stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 3 others in the small apartment accommodation. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Warren. He gave us a tour of the area when we arrived, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. This place also has shovels you can use when visiting the beach's hot springs (which is a 2 min walk away) to help dig. However, something which really stood out was how caring he was for us on the day before we left. As we were planning to leave on a day which had torrential rain, he advised us what time to leave at low-rise, to ensure our travels were safe. We were also able to try some of the Warren's cider and get some cuddles with the hosts' dog and cat. Definitely recommend this place.
