We embarked on our home renovation journey last year. We feel blessed to get Buildology recommended to us by our builders for concept plans. Honestly Rome and her team were absolutely AMAZING!!!! For amateurs like me it a scary process, but Rome took time and communicated every single step, gave us advice and delivered on everything they promised. There was full transparency on expected costs that allowed us to be prepared and mitigate any delays. Irrespective of COVID, Rome and Sarah made this whole experience seamless. They are a group of hard working professionals, that me and my family highly recommend. Thanks for making this an effortless and seamless experience for us.Keep up the great work Team Buildology.P.S. Congrats on the ADNZ Auckland awards, such a great acknowledgement of the amazing work you all do.

Structured Builders have dealt with Buildology over 10 years and over many projects all with great results. As builders we like to have clear plans with both design concepts and budget being worked towards from an early stage in the process. Some of the jobs we have completed with Buildology have been nothing short of a success and we enjoy working with them.

Romé and the team at Buildology helped guide us through every step of our renovation from initial concepts then working drawings and council consent and even during construction until we received our code of compliance certificate. They were amazing to deal with as we had many questions being first time renovators. We discussed our vision with Allan and Romé for an open plan living area with a retractable deck over the existing swimming pool. We wanted to maximise the entertaining space on a tricky site due to the placement of the existing buildings and pool, Romé took our ideas and created a concept that we loved. Her enthusiasm for our project encouraged us to move forward with construction. We also used a Buildology recommended builder which helped to streamline any construction queries. Buildology’s communication, professionalism and quality of work was outstanding throughout the entire build and we have no hesitation in recommending their services. We now live in a beautifully proportioned house which suits the way we live perfectly.

The team a Buildology are exceptional at executing a brief, understanding the needs of our family, working within budget and making clever, sound and sensible suggestions to enhance our dreams. We did a large reno with them and have recommended them to friends and family. They are our 'go to' people when looking at new projects every time. We trust them! 10/10!

Really disappointed after engaging Buildology to create some concept plans. Often you would read about times where architects would work with clients in a collaborative way to create something special. After taking a brief of what I wanted (and I estimate that the brief was 5 minutes), there was radio silence for 12 weeks. I emailed asking what they were thinking - the reply said this wasnt the time to show you what we were thinking. Oh well so much for collaboration At the end of the 12 weeks I was shown an initial design. The initial design was amatuer at best. No common toilet on a ground floor - when you have all your living here, this is inexcusable, and laughable - i picked this up within 2 minutes of seeing the plans for the first time. Their excuse? We wanted to save you money. Seriously, this is what they said... Of course they didn't save money when embellishing the outside of the house with additional boards that simply served to make things pretty. Why dont just own up and say you had an intern doing this, and nobody reviewed the work! Very poor! They provided incorrect advice of a design element based on their lack of research of the unitary plan. I had to show them and correct them on this. There excuse - it hasn't been out for long.. I kid you not... At the point I knew they were just full of excuses and I could absolutely not trust them. The unitary plan has been out for over 3 years at time I engaged them. When they did their first revision, there was still no communication.I rang 4 times in a 2 week period to understand what was going on, I couldn't get hold of anyone, and no phone calls were returned - so disappointing! What they are good at:Telling you how excited you must about your new plans. The amount of times I heard this, but really all I wanted was someone to phone me or tell me the truth! They are good at writing really long emails. REALLY Long. Im sure I'll get a large response to this. They have some flash 3d software. Pretty cool really. But really Id prefer they had1) Communicated their design intentions.2) Didnt employ amatuers/interns and charge me full rates3) Knew the unitary plan4) Didnt make excuses5) Returned CallsI now have hired another architect, in doing so been made aware of Buildologys hit and miss approach to clients. Im sure they do good work.they didnt with me. Hope this helps provide some perspective on them.

I own a Renovation Company called Renovation Builders. One of the biggest problems I have seen in my 25+ Years of Building is clients come to me with plans which have been poorly drawn or are well beyond their budget.I first came across a set of Buildology plans some 12 years ago when pricing them for a client. As a builder the first thing we want to see is detail and be able to have quick interaction with the designer so a project can flow. Ultimately, poor plans cost clients money. We work alongside Buildology with pricing and know there will be quick turn around with detail when we run into issues on site whilst building.I personally used Rome and the team for my own home and continue to recommend them to my clients. They are in my opinion leading designers in today Building market.

We have recommended a large number of our clients to the Buildology over the years and find their service to be very thorough, conscientious and supportive, especially during the build. With many of our projects being complex and varied in design scope, we rely on the design team to consider how the work will be done and help preempt issues before they arise.Allan and Rome have work very hard to provide the best service possible to our clients despite the recent obstacles caused by Covid 19.As a renovation company and used to working with clients plans from many other designers, I continue to recommend Buildology as our first choice of design practitioners.
