Long Dog Cafe
This cafe has a unique setting within the hot water pools and it's awesome to look out over the beach. It's awfully hot inside however as only a few windows can be opened. Also the counter area is a very congested area and it's impossible not to be standing in everyone's way! If you want to sit outside and drink you'll be given a well-used camping cup to drink out of (yuk) as they don't want broken glass around the pool area. Fair enough but surely you can find classier receptacles for customer's drinks!

What a cute little gem.Very nice cabinet food (from sandwiches to pies). The breakfast/brunch menu is very limited to a choice of bagels. But I don't think you will miss anything. The bacon bagel is pretty much your Big breakfast except no sausage.The coffee is super strong and nice. Love the views.You might struggle to find a spot inside as it is tiny and popular (wow the views!)But if you don't mind a bit windy, sitting outside is also absolutely stunning.

Savory muffin delicious but savory scroll was too chowy after heating . The perfect heating way might be by oven not microwave. but it seems impossible in a cafe to have oven reheating .

The views from being on the water make it one of the most epic cafes in Dunedin, but lest you think that was their only quality, they also have brilliant food, staff, and are priced just like any other average cafe in town. An absolute all-round winner.

A lovely cafe that is part of the saltwater pool complex in St Clair. Great food and lovely coffee. As I own a black dog, a Show Cocker called Norris, I appreciated the name more than most....

Limited menu for breakfast/lunch but the cabinet food looks great, cake was amazing , ginger kisses were really nice ! And the breakfast bun was also good. Great place to grab a coffee and treat to have along the waterfront on a nice day. Limited space and seating inside

If you want to experience the best coffee and breakfast with a breath-taking view, please do not miss this place. This is my usual place for breakfast whenever I have time. Would be even better to have a swim before you treat yourself, then go for a walk at the secluded second beach behind the cafe. Very friendly staff, family atmosphere. Can be busy during peak hours and you might have to wait.
