Schnapps Bar
Returning from the mountain, this place was a very much welcomed stop.Great food and beers. The plates are huge and beautifully served.Typical bar to watch the rugby game!The bar is also the local bottle shop, once the 4 square in the near corner does not sell alcohol.You can play some pool and arcades and also play mini golf in the car park.

Decent selection of taps. The ribs were definitely good value, though it should be labelled how large the portions were!

Schnapps Bar is a bar and pub located in National Park Village.The bar has a fireplace and an old school bar that creates a cozy ambiance. The waiters are friendly. The messy ribs are really big portions that my partner and I had to share. The buffalo wings are crispy and tender. They also have brownie with ice cream for dessert. They have some vegetarian and glute free option.

Solid place to come after your crossing hike or while staying in town with good drinks & food (the fish is done great in the dish & chips) and a nice spot in an otherwise quiet town.Plenty of seating, Wi-Fi, even mini golf. Shame they don’t seem to have enough business to stay open past 9:30 or 10 these days.

Wow!! Simply the most impressive feed we have ever had at a venue, I have never! Been defeated by ribs but this place was just absolutely wow, defeated !! Haha if you ever make your way up this way be sure to make your way here! And service above all others! Be sure to check it out have a pint have a feed! Thank you very much

Schnapps bar was a great place to go for dinner after we returned from the mountain.We were welcomed with a friendly smile and a Kia Ora" which my Te Reo speaking whānau very appreciated.The food was INCREDIBLE and great value for money.We ordered the scotch fillet

Amazing customer service and atmosphere! Staff were very accommodating and friendly.The rate at which food was pumped out of the kitchen was spectacular.Loved the food! We had garlic bread followed by the ribs and the scotch fillet.The ribs were plentiful, I couldn't finish them and the fries and rib sauce were great.We shared the toffee pudding and it was very nice.Would definitely return if in the area.Very memorable night and meal.

Thanks Schnapps for the great food and hospitality! My friend and I enjoyed one of our best meals here in New Zealand, just straight up good food that you can't go wrong with. We shared the ribs and scotch fillet and we were stuffed. Portions are great for the price. Also can't miss the post hot chocolate for the cold weather! P.s. it's the little things like lemon water to wash our fingers that makes a huge difference!!
