Havelock Hotel
Stayed 2 nights in Havelock. Did the pelorus mail cruise and had dinner and drinks at the local pub. We found the bar attendant very attentive. The food was excellent both nights. My husband couldn’t finish his fried rice and they were worried something was wrong. Only too much on the plate. My roadt pork came with crackling and apple sauce. Tasty. Fish and chips the next night were the best in a long time. As Havelock is the Mussel capital they also were good.The pub is as you would expect. Friday night was very busy and sounds like everyone is pleased the Country is moving forward. Tourists are needed back to help the economy. Pleased to help. NZ at its best

Large group that were expected there today, food took a ridiculous amount of time to be served,over an hour for first bowl of chips to come out. Think they may have been a bit more prepared than that.Disappointing for the organizers

Not good food at all. Husband ordered battered mussels with chips and salad, got steamed mussels only with no chips or salad. I got ribeye steak, meant to be medium but was rear. Mashed potatoes were awful neither of us could eat as tasted off. Both our meals were served cold. Would have been cheaper and better food had we stayed in our camper and cooked. 2 stars as Husdand said mussels were ok despite being cold.

Came here for dinner with our family - 5 adults and 1 toddler. Service was friendly, food came out efficiently and we were all super happy with our meals. Seafood chowder and nachos especially nice. Will definitely be coming back again. ☺️

If you want good pub food then this is place to go in Havelock. Very enjoyable and good large meals. And for $85 for 3 large meals then I'm happy with with that.

Nice little pub. Little bit dark inside. All 6 meals were good - large, yummy & reasonably priced, including the kids meals. Restaurant service was great. Bar service could have been better - guy wasn't very helpful & had no personality or hospitality! Great location on main road and right next to accommodation. Would dine here again.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Parked our campers onsite for free. Beautiful meals. All steaks cooked to perfection.generous pork roastHighly recommend
