Terrible people bullys and manipulators. I would rather have a tarp over my rook than their workmen on it.

Paul Milne carried out a roof restoration for us a little over a year ago and unfortunately the rust started coming through soon after. I'm told that it has not happened before.A mark of a good contractor is one that is willing to stand by their work though, and to their credit Paul Milne did not walk away from it. They offered to either refund a portion of the cost, or to redo the work and provide a transferable warranty to a new purchaser (by this point we had decided to sell).We opted for them to rectify it. The roofer seemed to do a very thorough job and spent a great deal of time trying to put it right. As of this moment I have no reason to think that all issues haven't been rectified.Regrettably, also of this moment, Paul Milne are now refusing to provide the 1 year transferable warranty until such time as I remove the review or post something that they themselves approve of prior, and have threatened legal action (the original warranty still stands). A somewhat very sour note on what had otherwise seemingly been resolved, and a distasteful way to treat a customer.

The company responded promptly to my request for a roof restoration quote, as well as a three more additional jobs around my house. I was indeed rather impressed with how accommodating, courteous and thorough their assessor Ryan was.However, the encounter followed by a rather dissatisfying communication:1. Significant delay in providing me with a quote - ten days instead of same / next day, as per their written promise, with my multiple reminders for them to reply.2. Almost twice the price of what my house repair was been estimated before by a different company on a few less items.3. Refusal to explain/ specify where their calculations came from, justifying their estimate as a commercial secret.4. Refusal to proved me with a break down of the the quote, given I requested four separate jobs around my rather large residence.5. Refusal to officially email me the detailed description of their scope of work.Instead, I received two texts and a rather rushed phone call from Ryan, the assessor, who informed me that the only condition the company would undertake my restoration project is my agreement to proceed with all four projects.I understand, under the NZ consumer law, I am entitled to information about a product or service I am paying for, which seemed to be violated here.

I was really impressed by this company, they were able to identify the issue, then repair a persistent roof leak. There were a few months delay from when I contacted them, before they could inspect, quote and repair, but the communication was good every step of the way. Whilst an expensive repair, I felt it was good value, the repair people wee professional and tidy, and the work came with a lengthy guarantee.

Totally recommend Paul Milne and the team for butynol gutters and complex flashing. We have a villa with a turret - a complex gutter formed by three walls of the square turret - intersecting the pitch of the roof. The result was a gutter on three levels. The team chose a sweet spot in the weather late autumn, (covid 19 and supply issues overcome). They removed the old iron gutter, built the new substrate and supports, flashed and sealed the roof over six days. Done in three stages, Pete was careful to make sure our house wasn’t exposed to the elements at any time.Very pleased with a complex, difficult job undertaken with care and courtesy.

Did my roof, and have been a great pleasure to deal with. Kept us informed despite covid and weather dramas. Took a while to complete but very happy with the result. Highly Recommend!

Very expensive quotes, for small section of roof to be replaced with butynol and repairs on concrete roof. Have been threatened by the CEO with lawyers so have amended the review and taken out the cost difference.

Paul Milne Roofing fixed and painted my roof almost five years ago and a few weeks ago I noticed that the paint was flaking off of the new parts of the roof that they had replaced.These things happen sometimes when you paint on new steel/tin so I called.They assured me that someone would come out to take a look and not to worry as Paul Milne would fix any problem, to which I was very pleased but also to be honest a little skeptical in this day and age.Well that someone did come out and I received a call from Paul Milne saying that they would fix the problem.A team of guys turned up and very politely told me that they had to remove all of the loose paint and that it was going to cause a mess but that they would clear it up, they were right there was a mess and they actually cleared it all up brilliantly and then because they couldn’t just paint the part that was peeling off as it wouldn’t match, they painted the whole roof! I couldn’t believe this level of service.This level of service is unheard of, I have told many people about this and an acquaintance of mine who happens to own several houses and some industrial units who really liked the story and said he would remember Paul Milne Roofing the next time he needed anything done.Highly recommended!

They quoted twice the market price for the full reroof. Then tried to oversell us on repairs and a paint job instead of a reroof. The inspection/quote guy also tried to get us to sign a deal quickly using pressure tactics and saying we'd miss the next work window before winter etc. If you are reading this, shop around.

Excellent team to deal with. On time completion of our roof repairs over 3 days and a post-completion quality check by seperate individuals. Professional and courteous team members. Highly recommend!

After hearing their ads on 2ZB they sounded like a reasonable roofing solution so I contacted them. Despite contacting them several times have not had anyone turn up to view the job .Failed to turn up to appointment and going by other reviews probably just as well.Totally unprofessional.
