It was a enjoyable place to camp for the night but limited resources.Very scenic and peaceful.

Yes, camp is here and seems open.Been here 8 years ago - place seems similar but smaller - presumably due to higher lake levels. Ok free camp, may fill quickly, not a lot of level ground that's not deep mud.Very little info about the camp anywhere, latest review here, on rankers and camper mate more than 6 months old. Doc refers to Iwi website which has no info on it since Feb 23. ISite in Wairoa had no clue either :)

Camp site is now entirely flooded. Nowhere to camp! For that reason, not a good campsite...
