This place prepares the best Hyderabadi Dum Biryani in Wellington. They have lamb, chicken and also special nawabi dum biryaniI tried the Nawabi dum biryani and its true hyderabadi. They have regular and family pack.They only have takeaway and hence its cheaper too. Every Thursday there is a 10$ biryani offer.They have other hyderabadi special dishes too.

Haleem on 2/4/23 was amazing!!!! Perfectly spiced, perfect consistency and fair price. I really should have ordered more because it was soooo delicious. I will definitely be ordering it again, my mouth is watering just thinking about it

If you need a break from all the North Indian food, this is a must try..Highly recommend the baigan bagara, it’s tangy and has a unique taste..It’s not perfect but still delicious…dum biryani was so flavourful without being overly oily..chicken 65 was good..Best of all was the punctuality of the order albeit the weekend rush…And so affordable

They make good quality stuff...they do use food colouring but it's not as much as some of the other Indian joints. Interesting dishes, the egg plant one is a winner. the Madras chicken 65 was not spicy at all! Sad because I was looking forward to that, instead it was quite plain but it tasted ok. Porottas are well made. This is better than your average Indian takeaway joint and they seem to do interesting menu items compared to others.

Hyderabadi House have started selling breakfast now. Got vada and Mysore bajji. Stone cold and poor taste. The bajji was not cooked through and was pasty inside. The vada was dense and not at all fluffy. When they started the take away it was nice. Now offering too many items and quality has gone down substantially. Best to avoid.

I’m a regular customer here. I love paneer (cottage cheese) curries. Very good taste and reasonable price. I also like starters and veg biryani but would be happy if they can add more verities like veg Manchurian, noodles, etc.

Hyderabadi House Take Away
I have been getting their lamb (and some times chicken) biryani from when they opened, and before (when they were trialing). It is one of the best biryanis in Wellington. It's the closest we have had to the ones we got in south India. I love their chicken 65 and haleem. The family packs are such great value for money and very generous portion. It's my husband's go to place, every time I am not in town. LOL. Anytime he goes to Lower Hutt, he definitely picks up some thing from there. Keep up the good work HH team.

Hyderabadi House Take Away
Accidently bought two biriyanis from here thinking it was another restaurant, so I rung them to see if I could get a refund. The kind gentleman was happy to offer me a refund. Appreciate the gesture. Will surely give it a try when we're down in Wellington.
