I have had great experiences here with most of the doctors but I know that it can depend on your issue and which doctor you choose. Dr Steeper was one of the kindest and most understanding doctors that I have encountered in a long time. I also think Dr Dale is great and my partner likes Dr Coen.

I always have a great experience when I visit the clinic.Dr Charlotte Rea is my consultant. She is so great . I feel so comfortable as her being my GP.My last visit this week seeing her I was also helped by another wonderful person at this practice.. Nurse Kirsty. You both made my visit soo relaxed and comfortable. .. and the reception ladies too... cant boast enough of this practice.

I had a really awful experience at this clinic. I had breathing problems/anxiety and the nurse tried to force me to wear a mask when I had no covid symptoms. She then made a nasty comment saying I was selfish. The reception staff are snotty and up themselves, no care or happiness. Doctor Coen is average. Inexperienced in LGBT care didn't ask for my preferred name or pronoun. I passed on my feedback in 2 emails but was ignored hence writing this review. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs. They will also try to charge you for extras, I got charged $15 for a ACC dressing which should be free.Looks like others have had similar experiences.

I was asked to provide blood tests six months ago and one of the result (iron) was extremly lower than normal . I have never heard anything about the result until two days ago. They have asked new tests for iron (same day I was travelling overseas) I feel like they just did not realise the result! I definetely don’t recommend this place and will change to somewhere else once I come back NZ.Edit: I had an appointment today and waited 20 min. I thought doctor was seeing another patient. I asked how long would i wait them to finish? They said doctor will be a few min late. So doctor wasn’t even in the clinic at all. I don’t know what to say!!!!

The doctor's themselves seem to be great as a rule, however it's very hard to get an appointment in the first instance. I often have to call several times before someone answers (any time of the day) and when you get someone there is usually an unfriendly and even rude attitude at times. They charge a lot more than other surgeries and don't have a good service to back it up.

I am so shocked by the lack of customer care...I made an appointment 10 days out, as that is how long it now takes to see someone, I had been told to see a doctor 7 days of my injury, but 10 days was all I could get, and needed the stitches and fracture in my toe reviewed. The day of my appointment Auckland was in gridlock due to high winds on the bridge, I had to zigzag my way from Ellerslie to Freemans Bay spending an hour in traffic for the 30 min journey, and arrived 8 mins late - is a 20-minute consult appointment. Waited for 2 mins while the receptionists finished with other people, and then was asked to wait while they checked in if the doctor was available. I was then told I had missed my appointment, when in fact I still had 10 mins of it left!!! More than enough time to look at a toe. I was again asked to wait, and was ignored for 20 mins and then asked again what was happening, to be told, sorry the Doctor had gone home. It took 10 days to get this appointment and the Doctor did not care enough to even give me 10 mins of the time I booked in with him. I have been going there for years a frequently needed to wait 20- 30 mins in reception to see them as they are running late, but when I am held up by unforeseen weather issues, I was treated with distain by both the receptionist, who I can see from other reviews doesn’t win popularity awards, and then by Gary Chen the doctor. Am sure Gary drove out and into the gridlock and now has time to reflect on how he treated me... Unbelievably bad and going back to my old Doctors in Royal Oak!

I am surprised by the bad reviews. Freeman's Bay medical has been our practise for years and is the best. Dr Charlotte Rea and Dr Coen are our regulars and both of them are just brilliant. I could not fault their genuine care for our health.

Best medical staff I've ever had. Dr Moller is truly one of the kindest and most helpful doctors around. Also Dr Rea is beautiful and kind and focuses on your needs even if you are running over time. I am always so happy to be there. The receptionist staff are always lovely and greet you with such warmth. I have recommended many of my friends here and they all have great experiences. 100% would stay with them forever.

Friendly desk staff. I was caring for my grandson while his Mum was seeing the doctor. The reception staff were terrific. Very interactive with my Grandson. Even getting him a cracker when one of the staff heard him say he was hungry. When he had to have a vaccine the doctor was amazing according ro my daughter.

I've been coming to this Medical Centre for the last 1-2 years and always had great service. It's a shame that during LVL 3 lockdown this service didn't hold up. I called for a phone appointment to get a simple prescription. I had a 8 minute conversation with the doctor to which he pretty much told me i didn't require medication (which is fine), they then charged me $60?? A full consultation charge! I really think this should be disclosed when booking these appointments as that's enough to make me reconsider. I expressed my concerns in some feedback and received no response.
