Escape Campervan Rentals Christchurch

I recently rented a camper van from this company and I must say that I had an absolutely fantastic experience. The van was very fluid to drive and spacious enough for me to move around freely. The bed was cozy and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that everything was included.The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, and made the rental process very easy for me. Overall, I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to rent a camper van for their next adventure.

My friend and I rented an Escape van for a quick 10 day trip throughout the lower half of the South Island. The van was clean and in perfect condition; without any mechanical issues along the way. The tour of the van and review of our details during the pickup in Christchurch was a straight forward and easy process. We highly recommend Escape and we’re interested in using their services during our future travels!

Awesome way to see the country. The Escape staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The vans are practical, have everything you need and look amazing. Would defiantly use Escape Campervans again.

We had an amazing experience with our escape van. Drove it over 2500km in 2.5 weeks and we had no issues. The staff were super friendly and the van was well appointed. It comes with some cooking gas but we found we needed quite a bit more than expected and it wasn't always easy to find in smaller towns.

Everything was great in our rental with Escape! Check-in and return were very easy and all of the staff was incredibly helpful. Our van was really clean and comfortable and we had no issues at all with it during our 5 night road trip. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Escape Rentals enough! Very easy and straightforward pickup, not trying to talk you into any extras, very easy return process as well and also super reasonable with wear and tear. The staff was super friendly and always just a phone call away for any questions. I was soooo comfortable in this van, the duvets they provided were warm and comfy, kitchen is well equipped, van drove smooth and was a trooper even on rough roads and down in Fiordland! I am already thinking of returning and would 100% rent again with them!

Definitely recommend Escape Rentals! We travelled for almost 5 weeks with our ‘Cook Strait’ campervan. And we loved it. Already missing our van. Why we recommend this Campervan?1) We are pretty tall (>1,80m) and the bed is 2,10m L x 2,00m B. So we slept really good, the matras is soft as well.2) Because the van isn’t that big you can drive easily 100km/h. Also in the mountains you are one of the fastest! (Ofcourse be careful all the time).3) We also booked the picnic table and bbq, do this as well and you have everything to have amazing meals everywhere.4) The staff is very friendly and helpful5) In the 5-weeks we had no problems at all6) The prints are amazing, many people will ask questions about the van.So.. Just book it for an amazing time in NZ.

Both the Auckland lady and Christchurch guy were so awesome and nice. Made the process super easy. Shout out to the guy at Christchurch for gifting us an Umbrella for us to use as we had to walk to our next destination in the rain. We donated it onto a local church as we could not take it back with us to Aus.Love the idea of donating on food or goodies you had left over to the donation cupboard for the next group when they pickup a van. Super cute. (If you are hiring one definitely have a look and see if you can snag anything! We got noodles and bog roll lol)I believe very reasonably priced (compared to some other vans, way, way cheaper) Had no faults with the van at all, was an absolute trooper all the way down North Island to a total circle around South, and i loved waving to other Escape Travellers while we cruised around. My only regret was i wish i took more photos of the van! Cant wait to visit again, ill be hiring another van for sure :)

Loved our Escape campervan! The unique exterior made it really feel like our van for the five weeks we had it. I think the van was a great size. Easy to drive, but still plenty of space in the bed for me to fit even though I'm 6'5. Having the ability to cook and clean at the back of the van was great too."

We had a fantastic experience with Escape Campers in Christchurch! Terry and Kerry were amazing to work with:super friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and accommodating. It was our first trip to New Zealand (coming from Maine, USA) The vans were well stocked, comfortable, and reliable. We had a total blast tooling around the South Island for 10 days.
