Magna Tattoo Studio

I got my sleeve done at Magna, by Nick Noonan. Beyond happy with how it turned out and my experience with Magna. Definitely the best tattoo artist and best tattoo studio in Christchurch hands down!!This was a very special tattoo for me and Nick understood this and was able to design and execute it for me perfectly. He listened to everything I wanted and made me feel heard during the whole design process. And the pictures speak for themselves, it’s an amazing black and grey realism piece.The studio itself was great, really calm and clean atmosphere. Everyone I dealt with at Magna were very professional and made the process really comfortable and fun. I can’t wait to go back and get more. I can’t recommend Magna enough.Thanks Nick, and everyone else at Magna xx

Magna is a brilliant studio, I cannot speak highly enough of all the artists, all super friendly and very professional.I have had 5 days with Nick getting an underwater sleeve done, from design to finished tattoo Nick is amazing, his ability to take your idea and turn it into the most amazing tattoo is beyond brilliant.I can’t wait for my next appointment!!!

Incredible work! 3 of us got our matching powerpuff girl tattoos done here, and we love them. Clean private studio, plenty of parking around. The bathroom was beautiful! The whole studio felt calm and inviting. Nick and Ben made us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Had my first session for a forearm half-sleeve with Ricky (black and grey realism). Cannot recommend his service enough. He patiently took time to listen and make changes to the design to incorporate my suggestions. The work is superbly executed, and is faithful to the original material (album art) with small tweaks to suit the arm.The tattoo studio is clean, relaxing and intimate. There are lockers to store your belongings. It's very 'newbie-friendly', unlike some studios that can be a bit intimidating. The only 'complaint' I have is it can get uncomfortable lying on your stomach all day on the tattoo 'beds', so I personally prefer chairs instead. It's great being able to pay by bank transfer on the spot, rather than having to take cash to the appointment. The complimentary aftercare balm is super high quality.I will definitely go back to finish up the sleeve and more with Ricky!

Nice studio with lots of plants and decent space. Ricky is good at what he does and thorough with prep and explanations, I got a sick wee bunny by him today! Cheers you guys!

I would highly recommend Nick and the team. The studio was very clean and inviting. While tattoos are never fun the day was made much easier by all the banter and jokes. Thrilled with the results so far, 5 days in only a few more to go.

I have had the pleasure of having a full sleeve done by Nick. I can't say enough about this studio. I have been to a number of studios around Christchurch and hands down this is the most inviting comfortable place I have ever spent my time being stabbed. Nick and the other artists are so much fun and foster a fantastic environment that in my opinion would be difficult to find anywhere else.Nicks work is second to none, the work he does is simply beautiful and it's a real honor to be able to proudly display his work on my body. He is super easy to spend long days with which makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I will definitely be back and strongly suggest anyone else wanting some work from any of the artists here to contact them. You won't be disappointed.

This is an amazing, warm and welcoming tattoo studio and one I’m sure I will return to time and time again. It is the best I have visited and we are lucky to have it on the outskirts of beautiful Christchurch, New Zealand.I have a large black and grey back piece undertaken by Nick Noonan which gets endless compliments for its original design and realism. I have a small piece on my forearm executed perfectly by Ricky, which is dear to my heart and I witnessed two wonderful pieces by their colleagues Ben and Becky on my most recent visit.My latest chest and shoulder piece designed and applied by Nick, depicting an Angel and her fallen comrade in the style of an old oil painting is exquisite. The tattoo itself is only half of the experience, I spent two days on this visit with a broad range of characters, music, conversation and deeply talented artists.Despite being a quiet natured 30 something not once did I feel excluded from this eclectic band of creative souls. The studio’s care, attention and cleanliness were second to none I have frequented and the passion, kindness and relentless humour of the team cannot be faked.Thank you and I will see you again soon (don’t tell the wife).

Extremely happy with the tattoo and getting to the tattoo stage with only showing a photo and throwing a couple ideas I had in my head out. My tattoo artist was able to smash what I had in mind out of the park! And probably the easiest tattoo place in Christchurch to get to!

I would definitely recommend magna tattoos to anyone who is thinking of getting any . They are all great people and will do anything to make you comfortable while they work . I had Ricky recolor my koi plus added to an old one then do over a faded white one .I'm very happy with my out came thank you very guys .
