Kerrs Reach
Kerrs Reach is accessible off Kerrs Road. It is the hub of rowing in Christchurch as many Colleges and Clubs store their boats in their sheds. The facilities are great and the parking is sufficient. The course is a 2 kilometer stretch. There are jetties. There are trees to sit under in the shade. The area also offers views of the red zone across the Avon River. The red zone is the section of Christxhurch that was most affected by the earthquakes...what used to be populated residential suburbs are now reduced to grass and trees. Keers Reach is a great resource for the city and is a fantastic resource for the large rowing community
