Great spot for a feed or a drink. Or both!Great location in a church. Beautiful stained windows. There is also seating upstairs.Really attentive and friendly staff. It was order and pay at the counter but the lovely bartender came to our table.I had the beef schnitzel which was HUGE and delicious! It was perfect, really. Wife had the nachos which she reported as being excellent.

Had a fantastic family night on a Friday after the Doubtful Sounds trip. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Food was good and I recommend the battered cod. Batter was just right, nice and light. Superb location and building. Recommend booking a table upstairs for dinner.

Best seafood chowder I have had in fiordland. Rich in flavor, lots of seafood with a side of bread. Just the right amount to feel content. Will diffinitly be back for another bowl. The burger and chips were very filling, chips crispy and hot, the burger had lots of fresh filling and very tasty. Prices are reasonable for the size if meals and quality of food. Highly recommend going here if you are in manapouri. Staff are very friendly, building is unique and cosy.

Love this little local. Great atmosphere in a quirky old church. A must if visiting Manapouri. Their Blue Cod is legendary but this time we dined out on deep fried Camembert with crosscut fries and a bowl of loaded crosscut fries. Yummo!! Oh and they have a courtesy van if you need picking up and dropping off.

What a find. Looks to be the best place to stop for a feed in Manapouri. Owned by a lovely local partner, lots of in house made restaurant quality food. Great portions. Cheap prices. Got the seafood chowder which had chucks of seafood (including scallop!) in it. The cod burger light and fluffy. And the best thing, (As the boss said): you can even tell people you went to church on your holiday!

We really like this place. The atmosphere is great and very unique as they turned a old church into a pub.The drink choices are good and the food very tasty. We had several options. The chips are crispy (very important). We also like their transparency and communication to the customers. Very welcoming.

What a beaut find! Staying a couple of nights at the Possum Lodge and popped up for a drink and dinner. Vibrant little locals joint with lovely staff and delicious local pub grub. We recommend sitting in the cute little arm chair nook - complete with blankets so you can really settle in!
